Royal Hunt Vocalist Leaves Band
ROYAL HUNT has issued the following statement:
"Royal Hunt and [vocalist] John West have decided that at this time (after numerous albums and concert tours) they are no longer able to contribute creatively to each other’s future musical development. It’s been a hell of a ride, but both parties feel like it is about time to move on and explore different musical paths - therefore, they mutually agreed to part ways as of March 16th, 2007 .
“We’re not ruling out possible future collaborations for a joint venture or a side project” – André [Andersen, keyboardist] and John state - “but it won’t be under the RH moniker.”
John had joined Royal Hunt in 1999 during the recording of the Fear album and he worked with the band until our latest release, the live CD/DVD Royal Hunt 2006. We’d like to express our gratitude to John for a great eight year run and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors."

Silent Force Sign With AFM Records
SILENT FORCE, the power metal band featuring ex-ROYAL HUNT singer D.C. Cooper, have inked new deals with Germany's AFM Records and Japan's King Records. The band will enter House of Music studio in Winterbach, Germany in the next couple of weeks with producer Dennis Ward to begin recording the drums for their new album, tentatively due in early 2006. Guitars, bass and keyboards will be laid down at Guitars from Hell studio in Krefeld, Germany, while the vocal recordings will be done at Dennis Ward's new studio in Bruchsal, Germany. "The song material is in the same direction like the last album, 'Worlds Apart'," according to a posting on the group's web site.
SILENT FORCE's third full-length album, "Worlds Apart" was released in the U.S. in October 2004 via Noise Records.
