Blabbermouth.net reports: Indevent USA and EBT3 Creations have launched their new multi-media company, Reign Productions. The company's first project will carry a multi-million dollar budget for a music video game catering exclusively to metal music. The game will include a soundtrack with performances from major metal artists as well as cameo appearances within the video game. The game will also include the formation of a new "supergroup" metal band. Production for this project will begin later this month.
The company will be headed by Peter Scheithauer (TEMPLE OF BRUTALITY, KILLING MACHINE) of Indevent USA and Bruce Teal of EBT3 Creations and will include Dale Russell (THE GUESS WHO, SASS PROJECT) and Jon Dette (SLAYER, TESTAMENT). Participants in this project currently include Global Unity Limited (Demolition Records), Gerard Drouot (Gerard Drouot Production), Fabio Jafet (Emmy Award-winning director), Ralph Graupner (Indevent) Stephane Minier (Yardie Productions), Thomas Lang (world-renowned drummer) and Alex Maltezo (Radius Media).
A major announcement for this project will be made at the 2009 winter NAMM convention in Anaheim, California.
Just days before this high-voltage metal event takes off, one of the sponsors of the Indy Metal Fest backed out of the deal. Indie label Chavis Records (home to Sonic X and Quiet Riot), who has offered a hand in sponsoring the event since April, has failed to mandatory fees and has left presenting sponsor Blind Prophecy Records to pick up their bill. Now that Chavis has been knocked off the event, the stage at Birdie's Live will no longer be called the Chavis Records Stage, but will rather take on Blind Prophecy's name instead.
The event, powered by Blind Prophecy Records, is slated to cram two venues with over a dozen prime metal acts, including Obituary, Alabama Thunderpussy, Daath, and Blind Prophecy's very own Years of Fire and Pain Principle.
On Saturday, September 22, Indianapolis Metal Fest will blast off in the KOC Grand Ballroom (all ages) and across the street at Birdie's Live (21 and up). Official band time slots will be posted in the coming weeks at indianapolismetalfest.com. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 day-of-show.

MINISTRY mastermind and industrial metal pioneer Al Jourgensen has revealed the band's lineup for its final tour, which is expected to kick off early next year. It is as follows:
Al Jourgensen - Vocals
Jimmy DeGrasso (MEGADETH, Y&T, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES) - Drums
David Ellefson (MEGADETH, F5, TEMPLE OF BRUTALITY) - Bass
Tommy Victor (PRONG) - Guitar
Sin Quirin (THE REVOLTING COCKS) - Guitar
John Bechdel (FEAR FACTORY, KILLING JOKE) - Keyboards
In a recent interview with Germany's Rock Hard magazine, Jourgensen said, "We're tourng pretty extensively – we're doing like the CHER farewell tour. [Laughs] It's gonna be, like, 20 weeks of mayhem around the world, and then we're done."
After 27 years, 11 studio albums, four Grammy nominations, and plenty of pain, MINISTRY will release its final album, "The Last Sucker", on September 18. This will give Jourgensen plenty of time to devote himself to expanding his borderland compound, 13th Planet Records.
"I've got a lot of side-projects and new projects I want to focus on," explained Jourgensen. "We have our our own label, 13th Planet Records, we're building, and I want to sign, produce and collaborate with other artists. Being in the studio writing, recording and collaborating is my favorite part of this snake-oil industry. I'd rather be behind the console than behind the mic. Plus, I kinda like the synchronicity of Dubya and MINISTRY riding off into the sunset hand in hand."
"The Last Sucker" is the third in an unrelenting and uber-critical trilogy aimed at exposing the foils, failures and fabrications perpetrated by the George W. Bush administration. The CD, which follows 2004's "Houses of the Molé" and last year's "Rio Grande Blood", is the final nail in the Dubya coffin. The album was produced and recorded by Jourgensen himself at his 13th Planet compound in El Paso, TX, with musicians Thomas Victor (PRONG) on guitars, Paul Raven (KILLING JOKE, PRONG) on bass and guitarist Sin Quirin (THE REVOLTING COCKS). In addition, Burton C. Bell (FEAR FACTORY) makes a vocal appearance on "Die In A Crash", as well as the album's final two songs, "End of Days" parts One and Two.

The band express their sincerest apologies to any fans who may have hoped to see them at any of these upcoming shows. Anyone who may have purchased tickets for those performances should request a refund from the venues or ticket offices where they were purchased."
