Bloodlined Calligraphy Singer Quits Band

Singer Ellen Hoffman has parted ways with Bloodlined Calligraphy, whom she joined a little more than a year ago. Hoffman explains:

"I gave my heart, soul, passion, energy, and life for the past year into something I believed in, something that showed me the country, taught me important and huge lessons, something that drug me through the thickest mud ever, but something that gave me memories and the knowledge of the lives I had been able to reach and change for the better to cling to. Something that shaped me into the better person I am today, with the help from my creator above.

"But my journey in Bloodlined Calligraphy has come to a nice close. Sometimes you just have to 'know when to hold 'em, and know when to fold 'em', heh. But so I don't have to repeat my reasons a hundred times to everyone that asks: I quit due to personal reasons and stuff beyond my control. I never quit even when I financially should have, until my passion and heart was all used up. Constant disappointment and constant struggle take a toll on a person and sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith into a new path so you can look back and everything make sense that way. That time is now. I followed my heart into the band, I gave what I had until there was nothing left, so now my heart calls me out and into other things. That is just how things work, with me."

Bloodlined Calligraphy Announces New Singer

Bloodlined Calligraphy has announced a replacement for singer Ally French, who left the band last month. Here's a statement from the group:

"We have a pretty big announcement to make. First off let me say thank you to eveyone that wrote us and asked to tryout and actually did tryout for the position of vocalist. I especially wanna send a big thanks out to Jeff and Birdmoney for holding it down on the Sworn Enemy tour. Without you guys we would have never been able to get through that week of shows.

Now on to the announcement. We are very happy to welcome Ellen Hoffman into the BLC family! Shes awesome and shes a perfect fit for BLC. We are gonna spend the next few weeks getting everything perfect and then we will have some very cool things to announce touring wise. So when we come to your town (which will be soon) show her some love!"

Bloodlined Calligraphy Loses Singer and Drummer

Michigan hardcore/metal band Bloodlined Calligraphy has lost the services of both singer Ally French and drummer Matt Carter. The remaining members of the group have issued the following statement:

"During our last tour Carter decided touring life at this level is not for him. He has a lot on his plate at home that needs to be taken care of. And we all understand that. He decided this with 4 shows left to play. He really helped us out by playing all 4 of the shows and even offering to show the new drummer the parts. After 10 years of being in musical project together he will be missed, but this is best for everyone involved.

VS. The day before we left for this current tour, I recieved a TEXT MESSAGE from Ally saying that she wasnt going on tour with us. The day before we leave. She has decided to move to Oklahoma with her husband. Which is fine. But to let us know the day before we leave when we were home for 2 weeks, which would have given us plenty of time to get a fill in all ready to go and clear their schedule to leave town for 6 weeks, is just whack. There's no other way around it. Oh well, Best of luck to her.

So with that said, we will still be going out on this tour. We have friends who were willing to come out and help us get through this trying time. What we need from you guys is all the support we can get in this situation. We need you guys to come out and support the people that have basically saved Ryan, Shawn and Myselfs lives. It will be different for this tour but i gurantee you that we will come out 100 times stronger with these changes. Trust me, as a memeber of this band they are both for the better. We are all excited and looking forward to starting this new chapter in BLC. Know this though. THIS IS NOT OVER!!!!. We have come too far in this band to let this stop us. So as long as you guys are here for us, we will be there for you, and like i said, the next chapter of BLC is gonna be brutal. So stick with us. You won't be dissapointed."
