Shattered Realm Finish Recording New Album

Shattered Realm has been in the studio as of late recording a new album. The group has essentially finished tracking and will mix the effort tomorrow. The album, which hasn't yet been titled, was recorded at Landmine Sound and will feature artwork by Pete Salepas and Ian Rowan. The material will consist of twelve new songs in addition to a song from the group's first EP, which has been reworked and re-recorded. Lambgoat spoke with guitarist/vocalist Joe None this afternoon about the recording process:

"It's going awesome. We have been having the most fun of anytime we have ever been in the studio. There is a place down the street that has deep fried hot dogs, which I've never heard of. so basically this album is going to be powered by deep fried hotdogs. We had Jon Blake from On Broken Wings come down to do some guest vocals on a track and it's amazing. We also have our original singer Chris coming in. We wanted to do something seldom done; have our old singer appear on the new record. I think it's a cool idea and also shows everyone that we are still friends... kids always wonder what happens to ex-band members."

Look for the album to hit stores in November via Eulogy Recordings.

Shattered Realm In Search of Bassist

Shattered Realm are now in search of a full-time bassist. The New Jersey group are currently preparing to record a new album. Candidates should have reliable transportation, equipment, and a willingness to tour. According to the band, "You shall be rewarded in glamour, fame and the kind of ecstacy that is only reached in the heat of battle. Downsides include heavy touring, heavy drinking and a near certain early death. Upsides include riches, thick mead, women for the taking, and a seat in the hall of valhalla."

Shattered Realm Update

As you may be aware, New Jersey's Shattered Realm has missed quite a few shows in recent weeks due to the health issues of guitarist Joe None, who was recently hospitalized with an infection (the result of an appendectomy). Fortunately, Joe has since recovered and the band has been in the studio as of late working on material for their next album. Since bandmembers Al and Chris recently left the band to pursue careers, Chris Rage (drums) from Fury Of Five and Paul Brown (vocals) from Repercussion have been filling in. Meanwhile, the band has plans for a full U.S. tour with Remembering Never and On Broken Wings in addition to a West Coast tour with Terror and Born From Pain in early-2004.
