Below is our complete Cerberus news coverage, including columns and articles pertaining to the band. Some articles listed may be indirectly related, such as side projects of the band members, etc.
LA metallers, The Funeral Pyre, have issued the following updates:
"We have some announcements, well just 2 actually. So let's get right down to the nitty gritty of this."
"First off, we'd like to welcome Lanny Perelman of Cerberus (Los Angeles) fame, to the band. Lanny has been a great friend for a while and we are more than excited to have him join and write a new record with us. So please, say thank you to Lanny when you see him. It's much appreciated."
"Lastly, we will be releasing a new EP titled 'December' which will be released this year on Creator-Destructor Records. It will be limited and will contain new songs. If you liked where 'Wounds' went, then you will love this. After that EP we will start making preparations to do the new full length. The new record will probably be out Summer of next year."
Thank you to those who have purchased 'Wounds' thus far, we hope you enjoy the new material."
Los Angeles-based thrashers CERBERUS have issued the following update:
"We sadly have to say that Sean Olk [lead guitar] has parted ways with CERBERUS for personal reasons. He wants to pursue other things in life, and the band is holding him back from doing that. We wish him the best of luck with everything, but we must go on. He will be playing the next couple shows with us though, so promoters, dont be alarmed. In the meantime, we will be auditioning lead guitarists, so if you think you got what it takes, read the criteria below and get in touch with Lanny at 818-427-2381 or email@example.com."
CERBERUS lead guitarist requirements:
* Between the ages of 18-25
* Have professional gear
* Own transportation
* Can drop everything to go on tour full time
* Preferably have tour experience (not necessary)
CERBERUS' latest album, entitled "Dispute the Truth", was released in April via Creator-Destructor Records. The CD was recorded and produced at Castle Ultimate studios in Emeryville, CA with engineer Zack Ohren (LIGHT THIS CITY, ANIMOSITY, ALL SHALL PERISH).

Los Angeles' THE FUNERAL PYRE will depart on a two week West Coast tour with Creator Destructor labelmates Cerberus. Now supporting the re-release of the band's second full-length, The Nature of Betrayal, through a distribution deal with Prosthetic Records, the tour marks THE FUNERAL PYRE's return to the road after the band's jaunt with Apiary and Dryline in November and December of 2006 and a handful of southern California appearances since then. The band will also make an appearance at the first day of California Metalfest, having played the inaugural California Metalfest last year as well, and THE FUNERAL PYRE will make its New England Metal and Hardcore Festival debut in April, playing the Fest's first date.
Grabbing influence from At The Gates, Shai Hulud, Dissection and Emperor, THE FUNERAL PYRE has been a staple in the underground Los Angeles music scene since its formation in 2000 and self-releasing several demos, a split 7 inch, and a self-financed full-length debut prior to The Nature of Betrayal.
