Prejudice Announces Changes, Possible Hiatus

Belgian technical death metallers PREJUDICE have issued the following update:

"Major changes for Prejudice. Vlamrock (August 30th in As, Belgium) will be Tuni (Tunicki, guitars) and Christophe (Piette, drums) last show with Prejudice! So people that want to see Prejudice in this lineup be sure to catch up with us in the indoor stage. Free stuff / merch will be available after the show for those who want to have a little Prejudice legacy!

"What Erik (vocals) Chris (bass / vocals) and Me, Def will do afterwards is still a big question? We don't fucking know at this given point? And yes it can mean the end of Prejudice! Time will tell.

"Christophe (Stof) will be continuing playing drums, we wish him all the best in his musical endeavors. One of Belgium's finest drummers imo.

"Tuni will retire from his musical adventures. It has been a fucking pleasure to have you as my right hand for those 8 years bro! Couldn't think of someone else more suited for this job!"

Stay tuned for further updates from the band members.

More Bands Offer Condolences To Decapitated

Belgian progressive death metallers PREJUDICE and Utah-based speed metal band DEATHEAD have offered up their condolences for late DECAPITATED drummer Witold "Vitek" Kieltyka who passed away yesterday (November 2nd) in a Russian hospital from injuries sustained in a recent road collision. They read as follows:

Prejudice: "RIP Vitek! Spent 7 weeks on tour with Decapitated in 2002, Vitek was without no doubt the most down to earth guy from them. Really sad to see someone so talented & being a great person to be killed in a accident while being on tour. Hope to see Covan recovering out of his injuries. Our thoughts go out to their family and friends and fellow Decapitated members."

Deathead: "We all wish condolences to the friends and family of Decapitated's drummer Witold 'Vitek' Kieltyka. As a fan of the bands music, it is saddening to hear of such a loss especially in such a way. Our condolences go to his friends, family and bandmates."

Prejudice Give Studio Update

Belgian technical death metallers PREJUDICE have issued the following studio update:

"Chris and Erik recorded all vocal lines and vocals this week. This weekend Dirk Indesteage will record the bass to put more dynamic and low-end into the overall sound - wondering how that will sound! The mixing duties will probably be done by Chris (vocals). More about this issue soon. In case people begin asking us if Erik quit because they saw us playing with two vocalists, NO, he's not quiting. We have two vocalists now because that's what we always wanted. Chris put a lot of drive into the vocals, just like how we thought it would sound!"

As previously reported, PREJUDICE's fourth, yet-to-be-titled album, will be issued via Greek label Sleaszy Rider Records. Artwork will be created by Pär Olofsson (PSYCROPTIC, DEEDS OF FLESH, SPAWN OF POSSESSION).

Prejudice Reveal New Line-Up

Belgian technical death metallers PREJUDICE have issued the following update:

"From now on we'll be a five-piece again after more than nine months! We welcome Chris to the bands ranks as a lead singer as well together with Erik. We did our first recording with Chris some days ago, it was totally insane to have two vocals on the songs! It sounds more brutal and aggressive like before. Something we wanted for a long time now. Expect nothing less then total devastation on live shows when we'll hit the stages from September on this year. We are looking forward to go out on the road again and see all you in the pit again."

Prejudice Talk About Endorsements, New Album

Belgian technical death metal unit PREJUDICE have issued the following update:

"In 2007 guitarist Def will be endorsed by LaBoga Amps, Speakers and Cables (www.labogaamps.com) exclusively. Artists using LaBoga gear include ANNIHILATOR, BEHEMOTH, ILLDISPOSED, LOST SOUL and SPOIL ENGINE.

“I’m really proud to be part of the Laboga artist roster,” commented Def, “to be honest, this is something that I always wanted to achieve when I started to play music. Playing on instruments that I fully dig and get support from. Yet with another endorsement deal in my pocket, it means that I can fully enjoy making music even more because of the support I got from major instrument companies like Laboga amps & previous endorsee Mayones guitars! Thx to Roel from Heartmusic Benelux for helping me out!!”

The group will enter Excess Studio in Rotterdam, Holland next February to begin recording their fourth, yet-to-be-titled album, tentatively due in the spring of 2007 via Greek label Sleaszy Rider Records.

Mixing duties will be handled by Tue Madsen at Antfarm in Aarhus, Denmark. Artwork will be created by Pär Olofsson (PSYCROPTIC, DEEDS OF FLESH, SPAWN OF POSSESSION).

"We are in full writing mode as we speak for the upcoming recordings in January '07; so far things are going pretty smoothly. We have some surprises up our sleeves for this one. Prejudice Part w/ Bassist, Seeking Replacement

Belgian technical death metal combo PREJUDICE have issued the following update:

"Greco and Prejudice have decided to part ways. This was no slap in our face because we saw this coming since a couple of months! The reason for his departure was that his heart was not in extreme death metal anymore or better said metal in general. He will not stop playing the bass. He will focus on jazzy stuff but not full time in a band anymore. We wish him luck in his further musical career, whatever he’ll be doing."

"We can only thank him for the enormous amount of effort and enthusiasm he's always put in the band the past 2 years. He'll always remain a part of the team, and it sure will be hard to find a replacement. But that will not hold us down for our future plans with the band!"

"Knowing this, the band chose to initially go on as a 4 piece until we have found a suitable replacement for this vacant spot. And as from today, interested bass players can drop us a line at prejudice@pandora.be"

Important requirements are:
- have own gear
- be willing to tour
- permanent motivation
- have a good stage presence, professional attitude

PREJUDICE can offer you:
- Recordings at Excess Studio, Rotterdam for upcoming full length (January 2007)
- band is currently signed to Greek label Sleaszy Rider Records
- tours, mini-tours and single gigs are always being scheduled

You can hear some of Prejudice's material at their MySpace page.
