Napalm Death Confirmed For Wacken Open Air 2009
Godfathers of grindcore, Napalm Death are the latest act to be confirmed for the infamous Wacken Open Air festival in Germany next year. The lineup for the festival so far is as follows:

Nevermore Added To Wacken Open Air 2009
Seattle metallers Nevermore are the latest confirmed for the legendary German metal festival Wacken Open Air which takes place from July 30th - August 1st. Other bands confirmed are AMON AMARTH, CATHEDRAL, EINHERJER, HAMMERFALL, IN EXTREMO, IN FLAMES, KAMPFAR, KORPIKLAANI, MACHINE HEAD, TRISTANIA, WALLS OF JERICHO.

Tristania Confirmed For Wacken Open Air 2009
A post on the official Wacken Open Air festival website reads as follows:
"Dear Metalheads,
For the 20th anniversary of the W:O:A, gothic metal band Tristania has now been confirmed. The Norwegian band has been successfully touring since October last year with new frontwoman Mariangela Demurtas."
Wacken Open Air 2009 is scheduled to take place from July 30th - August 1st in Wacken, Germany.
Other acts confirmed for the festival are AMON AMARTH, IN EXTREMO, CATHEDRAL, EINHERJER and MACHINE HEAD.

In Extremo To Release Best Of Album
In Extremo will be celebrating their 10-year anniversary with their upcoming best of album, "Kein Blick zurück," which will be released on December 8th. In addition to a regular Best Of album, where In Extremo re-recorded some of their old and new hits (with updated production-including songs from the "Weckt Die Toten" record), a bonus CD will also be included with cover versions of In Extremo songs from other artists. Amongst others, this includes Silbermond with "Die Gier", Götz Alsmann with "Singapur", Killing Joke and Grave Digger and the legendary German group Ougenweide.

In Extremo To Release "Liam" Single
German folk/medieval metallers In Extremo will be releasing "Liam" as the third single off of their latest album, "Mein Rasend Herz," on February 3rd. In Extremo have also announced that a live-CD and DVD will be released on February 10th. More details will follow soon.

Wacken Open Air Festival organizers have just confirmed acts for next year's W:O:A, set to take place August 3rd to 5th in Wacken Germany. Bands confirmed so far are Children of Bodom, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, In Extremo, Soilwork and Subway to Sally.
Turisas Writing New Album
The ultimate Battle Metal force Turisas continues its successful first strike. After the triumphant tour with Die Apokalyptischen Reiter in February of this year, the band is heading into the summer festival season, adding a headline show in Cologne on July 22nd and supporting In Extremo. Everyone who recently saw their intense live performances and worshipped their epic anthems off their debut album “Battle Metal” will be ready to conquer the front rows again.
Turisas have also moved over to the dedicated next songwriting phase for their upcoming new album, as vocalist Warlord Nygard himself states: “The new material is shaping up and we are looking forward to start out recording the first demos of new songs this summer. Some really interesting and musically ambitious material I can tell you.”
