Mordenial Premieres Pre-Release Full-Album Stream

Sweden's melodic death metal outfit Mordenial premieres the pre-release full-album stream of the band's upcoming new album "The Plague", which is due to drop on July 31st, both digitally and in a 6-panel digipak CD edition via Black Lion Records. The new outing was recorded at Departure/Expire Studios in late 2015/early 2016. It was mixed and mastered at Garageland Studios by Ronnie Björnström.

Mordenial Premieres "Daylight Is Gone"

Mordenial was formed in early 2000 before recording an initial two track demo titled "From Ashes Risen" back in 2002. It wouldn't be until '08 that Mordenial went from a project to a full band as Fiebig and Kjetil started to write material for the debut album.

Completing the lineup in 2011, Mordenial began recording in the spring of the next year. After various issues retaining a vocalist, Fiebig decided to write the lyrics and took over the front man position. Finally, debut album " Where the Angels Fall" was released in early 2015.

Now, the group's upcoming new album "The Plague" is due to drop on July 31st and features 10 songs revolving around the concept of plagues, from an ancient to a futuristic perspective.

The band comments on this new track: "'Daylight Is Gone' is a song about a great battle in the dark years. The world is corrupted with kings that want to conquer the world. A great war rages for months. Dead bodies fill the shores and the war seems endless. The ones that survive gets terrible diseases spread from all the decomposed dead bodies." More...
