Heavy Traffic Releasing "Plastic Surgery"
Twin Earth Records is pleased to announce the release of the vinyl edition for "Plastic Surgery" by psych/doom band Heavy Traffic on May 26th, 2017.The release will be available in limited edition color (100 white & green mix) and black, both on 140 gram vinyl. Pre-orders will be available on May 5th.
After playing together with the Spanish Moss (Burger Records), lead guitarist Ian Caddick and drummer/vocalist Tav Palumbo went on to form Heavy Traffic. Writing and recording over five albums worth of new material together in less than two years, the duo relocated to Brooklyn in July of 2015 to put together a full band and focus on playing live.
"Plastic Surgery," the first album featuring new members David Grzedzinski and Dan Bradica, was recorded live to tape early March 2016 over a weekend in rural Upstate NY. Mixed and mastered over the next few months at the band's rehearsal space in Bushwick, this is the group's most polished recording to date and features a characteristic blend of DIY heavy psych rock, combining elements of noise, doom, punk, and shoegaze.
