OneGodLess Posts "The Calm" Video

Dutch metal band band OneGodLess just released a music video for "The Calm," from debut album "Mourner" due out on June 9th, 2017. Check it out below.

The album was produced by Robin Zielhorst & Tymon Kruidenier (Cynic, Exivious, Skeletor, Codex) and the artwork was made by GutsArt in cooperation with Zielhorst.

"The music video illustrates the message of the lyrics," Zielhorst states. "It's about saying your farewell to all before you die, being at peace with the end of your life. As the artwork inside the CD Digipack, it's about the progress of being closed off to the world, then opening up, to the end where you're open, and at peace with dying." More...

Onegodless Announces "Mourner" Details

Dutch metal act Onegodless will issue the debut album "Mourner" on June 9th. The CD comes with earplugs, as the album is best to enjoy on volume at 11. Pre-order can be made at onegodlessofficial.com.

"Mourner" was produced by Robin Zielhorst & Tymon Kruidenier (Cynic, Exivious, Skeletor, Codex). It was mixed and mastered by Tymon Kruidenier and the artwork (shown below) was created by GutsArt in cooperation with Zielhorst.

Onegodless was founded by bassist Robin Zielhorst. Zielhorst is known for his (fretless) bass playing in bands like Cynic, Exivious, Our Oceans, Textures, various studio projects and solo performances, and joins forces with Pieter Verpaalen (Textures), Yordi Lopez (Red Eyes, 3D Monster) and Yuma van Eekelen (Pestilence, Exivious).

Zielhorst commented on the album: "A lot of the things we say are meant in a humorous way, more or less. It's a reaction to the (music) world as it is right now. Of course we did not invent a new genre called 'HEAVYSTONERBLUESGROOVEROCKSLUDGEMETAL,' but it was either that or call it anti-Djent (laughs). The music and the lyrics are very serious, though, there's not a joke in that".

About the album title and its artwork Zielhorst says: "It fits. It's a link to the previous band name, a way to include our roots, so to say. It also underlines the artwork: the Yogi man (inside artwork) mourns about the world, closed off in his own being."

The track list for "Mourner" is:

1. Intro
2. The Calm
3. Burn The Sun
4. Countless Hours
5. Unstable
6. Hangman's Time
7. Songs Of Old
08. Goliath
09. Salvation
10. My Blood
11. From The Ashes More...

OneGodLess Streaming "From The Ashes"

OneGodLess just released "From The Ashes," taken off the band's upcoming debut album coming in early 2017. A crowd funding campaign for the album is now live and can be found right here.

In late 2013, OneGodLess decided to bring nothing new. Since everything already had been done before, and everything else wouldn't be worth making, these brave young men decided to do something entirely different: to acknowledge their total lack of cutting edge, offering a mix of sounds like a lot of other groups before them.

Founding member Robin Zielhorst (ex-Cynic, Exivious), found like minded forces in Pieter Verpaalen (ex-Textures), Yordi Lopez (Red Eyes) and Yuma van Eekelen (Exivious, ex-Pestilence) to walk this beaten path of metal. The result is a grooving metal machine that does not stop until you're beating your head to the sound of the riffs. More...
