Wildspeaker Posts New Song

Dallas-native blackened crust band Wildspeaker will release upcoming album "Spreading Adder" this coming Friday, June 23rd via Prosthetic Records. Pre-orders for the album in LP, CD and all digital formats are available here.

In anticipation of this week's release, today the album's closer track "Renewal" has come online and can be heard below. The ominous track starts out with an atmospheric, measured heaviness - eerily preparing the listener for a breakneck peak mid-track.

Vocalist Natalie Kahan says, "'Renewal' is a lesson in loss and transformation. Like a snake sheds its skin, we should kill the parts of ourselves we don't need anymore. As soon as we finished writing 'Renewal', we knew it would be the perfect way to end the album. It perfectly captures what we organically write as a band when we try to write music to a theme or story."

Wildspeaker Posts "Cinders"

Dallas-based blackened crust band Wildspeaker will release upcoming album, "Spreading Adder," on June 23rd via Prosthetic Records. The blistering 11 track album offers a non-stop grind of driving riffs and thick, weighty atmosphere.

Thematically and lyrically, "Spreading Adder" focuses on the resilience of nature and downfall of human civilization. Check out new track "Cinders" below.

Vocalist Natalie Kahan says, "'Cinders' is about the anxiety and unease of changing states. Ultimately, we are still able to burn after the chaos around us cools. The song starts out pummeling fast then becomes punishing and slow. There are a lot of dark layers and tension to 'Cinders' that'll make you clench your teeth."

Wildspeaker consists of Kahan, guitarists Nelson Favela and Zak Pitts, bassist Garry Brents (Cara Neir), and drummer Ricky Rivera. Self-produced in Brents' home studio, Spreading Adder will be released on LP, CD and all digital formats. Pre-orders are online here. More...

Wildspeaker Signs With Prosthetic

Prosthetic Records is pleased to add Dallas, TX’s Wildspeaker to the label's ever expanding roster. The blackened crust band consists of vocalist Natalie Kahan, guitarists Nelson Favela and Zak Pitts, bassist Garry Brents (Cara Neir), and drummer Ricky Rivera.

Since forming in 2014, Wildspeaker has several independent releases, as well as through different labels. Most recent album, “Guilt and His Reflection,” is a split with crust/death/blackened duo Cara Neir on Broken Limbs Recordings.

Now signed to Prosthetic, Wildspeaker is currently writing and recording for a second full-length album, expected to drop in the spring of 2017. Vocalist Kahan comments on the singing and upcoming album:

“Prosthetic Records has put out so many of our favorite bands. It’s an honor to become part of the current roster with North, Deathrite, Skeletonwitch, and so many others. I think Wildspeaker’s newest album will be our strongest material yet. We can’t wait to share it. See you on the road!” More...
