Soothsayer Premiere "Cephalopod"

Irish doom metal band Soothsayer premiere a new song entitled "Cephalopod", which will soon be released on a 7'' split vinyl. Explains the band:

“Within 2 weeks, it shall be available on a 7” split vinyl with another band from Cork called Partolón. This is the first release to feature Pavol Rosa on bass and Sean “Junior” Breen on drums. With the new rhythm section, the musicianship of the band has stepped up enormously and writing for the album is close to completion. The album shall be recorded during the summer. The songs are really good! Songwriting has stepped up and even includes some catchy hooks!

“We recorded this song ourselves and it was mastered by Magnus Lindeberg of Cult Of Luna. It also features guest vocals from Ian O’Callaghan from the band Horse.”

Irish doom / sludge band Soothsayer is gearing up to release new MCD "At This Great Depth" on December 30th, 2016 via Transcending Obscurity Records. The label comments:

"The new masterpiece 'At This Great Depth' sees the band plumbing new emotional depths, writing seamless gargantuan songs, and merging subtle myriad influences from a broad outlook on life to forge a cohesive, powerful sound unlike any other.

"This is atmospheric doom/sludge having a dreamy quality to it that stirs up buried memories by way of its strangely alluring riffing and unconventional songwriting. These two timeless monoliths, one 16 minute long and the other lasting for eight, are symbolic of both the suffering as well as the endless glimmers of hope flashing throughout them in life. Soothsayer's doom is emotive, vast and fulfilling."
