Esben And The Witch Streaming Full Album
Esben And The Witch is now streaming new dark ambient album "Older Terrors" online in full. "Older Terrors" is the band's third album, and first with Season of Mist, due for worldwide release on November 4th.
Regarding this release, the band states: "Our forthcoming album 'Older Terrors’ was written and recorded over the course of a year in Berlin, our adopted home. We've spent eight years getting here, sweating on stages, holed up in studios and exploring all that which inspires awe and terror.
"The album features four tracks. In this digital age of music we wanted to create a collection that worked together but could also be separated, each track standing alone, carving its own path and telling its own tale. This record is dedicated to the sublime. To Edward Young's Night Thoughts, John Martin's apocalyptic visions, Caspar David Friedrich's forays into the forest and to the sparks of light that glimmer in times of utter darkness.”

This is our serpent song, a talisman and the third chapter taken from Older Terrors. We wanted the music to envelop the listener, a trance like journey from the soothing to the savage. A charm for the snake we all wrestle with, to coax and calm and find out where its open jaws lead." More...

"Older Terrors," the band's third album, and first with Season of Mist, will be released worldwide on November 4th. Regarding "The Wolf's Sun," the band comments:
"An ode to Luna, a blazing white rock. We find ourselves drawn to and driven by a night lust as old as the firmament itself. The first chapter marks the laden swagger of the satellite, a pendulous, ominous beacon. Switching to the second movement, the maniacal march of its wide-eyed disciples, entranced by its heady glow. Rampaging with hearts as swollen as the moon itself – 'Light it is blooming, A madness consuming, Inside your head, Inside your hands. In love! I’m raptured!"
Regarding this upcoming album, the band continues, "Our forthcoming album 'Older Terrors’ was written and recorded over the course of a year in Berlin, our adopted home. Esben And The Witch Streaming "Sylvan"
Post rock trio Esben And The Witch today reveals details and the first track from forthcoming album "Older Terrors." This will be the band's first album with Season of Mist, released worldwide on November 4th, 2016. Check out the song "Sylvan" below. Esben And The Witch comments:
"This song is about a fire raging through an ancient forest. About primal forces, wild and uncontrollable loosed upon the land and how we try to might find meaning and even beauty in a burning world."
The band continues on about the new album: "'Older Terrors' was written over the course of a year in our adopted home of Berlin. It began life in a basement, just Rachel and a bass guitar and sprawled out from there. We spent last winter fleshing these songs out in our rehearsal space up in an old tower block and in April we finally recorded them at a studio in the centre of the city.
"In this digital age we wanted to create an album that contained four tracks that would work as a whole but that could also be separated and stand alone. Each one carving its own path. This record is dedicated to the sublime. To Edward Young's Night Thoughts, John Martin's apocalyptic visons, Caspar David Friedrich's forays into the forest and to the sparks of light that glimmer in times of utter darkness."
