Rogue Records Releases Fallout 4 Mod
Rogue Records America is excited to announce that a new Fallout 4 hard rock/heavy metal radio station mod simply titled "Rogue Radio" is now available on PC and coming soon to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
"'Rogue Radio' took FOREVER to make because it was the first time we ever made anything in the Creation Engine, so there was a bit of a learning curve," said label owner Dean Martinetti. "But, we got it done, and we've made history as the first record label to make a game mod for a major franchise AND the first time a record label made a product that also showcased other labels' artists. It's a fine day today for Rogue. We also couldn't have done this without these amazing bands helping out. They are just great talents and extraordinary people."
Complete with 44 songs from Rogue Records artists and national and emerging bands from around the globe, as well as two DJs each with their own style and playlist, the "Rogue Radio" track listing is available after the jump. More...
Earthside Joining Leprous On Tour
New Haven-based progressive ensemble Earthside has been announced as tour support for Norwegian metal act Leprouson an upcoming North American run this September/October.
The fall tour reunites the two groups following a European stint with Voyager earlier this year. Binary Code and Dissona will round out the North American tour package. A full list of dates can be seen below.
Earthside drummer Ben Shanbrom comments: "Leprous is truly a part of the next generation of progressive music. In less than a year they have become one of Earthside's absolute favorite bands - they're good friends, great people, and unbelievable musicians and performers. It was an amazing experience touring with them and Voyager earlier this year across Europe, and we are so happy to be supporting them in our home country this fall." More...
Binary Code Posts Rig Video
Binary Code recently released full-length album "Moonsblood," and today the band conveys the serious (and not so serious) nature of gear obsession via a "Rigged" video, hosted by Gear Gods.
The video was filmed in the Randolph Performing Arts Center in Randolph, New Jersey and showcases the band's full instrumental arsenal. Check it out below.
Last week, Binary Code provided an exclusive look at two "Moonsblood" guitar playthroughs for the tracks "Immersion" and "Dark Meditations." You can check them out right here. More...
Binary Code Posts Playthrough Videos
Last week, New Jersey/New York-based progressive metal outfit Binary Code released new full-length album "Moonsblood."
Binary Code also recently promised fans some gear-related videos, and today marks the launch of the first two. Take a look at playthroughs for the tracks "Immersion" and "Dark Meditations" below.
Guitarist Jesse Zuretti states: "My guitar partner in crime, PJ Spilletti, and I both used our brand new Mayones guitars in the videos. I can tell you right now, playing our songs a bajillion times has never been so easy because of those guitars. These guitars are cheat codes to our playing. I'm using a Mayones Regius 7M with Bare Knuckle Pickups (Juggernauts), and PJ is using a Mayones Duvel Elite 7 with Seymour Duncan Sentient/Nazgul pickups."
Regarding the unique visual effects on the videos, Zuretti adds, "We filmed the play-throughs for 'Dark Meditations' and 'Immersion' with Nick Kusworth, who also does great work for Heavy Blog is Heavy. He used some really cool techniques for 'Dark Meditations', using an actual prism for this cool kaleidoscopic effect. We picked some cool lighting effects; the color gels we chose were picked for the mood of each song." More...

Binary Code Streaming "Dark Meditations"
New Jersey/New York-based progressive metal group Binary Code will release new full-length offering "Moonsblood" on May 24th. Today the band is sharing a third new track, "Dark Meditation," which can be heard below.
Guitarist Jesse Zuretti states: "'Dark Meditation' is a song that I oddly enough wrote shortly following my first time doing DMT, and starting Transcendental Meditation. I'm not a hippie by any means, nor am I a psychonaut, but I am a firm believer in expanding perspective. The instrumentation in 'Dark Meditation' is a perfect representation of an expansion of perspective, which I think is something you can't push to happen; it happens naturally, and it happens when it happens.
"I was in a very dark state of mind, having dealt with a crippling bout of depression and my experience with this mental expansion lead me to a breaking point where I could finally be comfortable with the person I was becoming. This transposed greatly from perspective into the music I started to write. Many of the people who are familiar with our music have said to me that they are surprised by the transition the band has made, but there's also a familiarity with it. I attribute that much to being responsible for the majority of the songwriting during the time where I made it passed an event horizon."
The upcomign album was engineered and mixed by Eyal Levi (August Burns Red, The Contortionist, Monuments) at Audiohammer Studios and mastered by Alan Douches (Suicide Silence, Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge) at West West Side Music. The track listing is as follows:
1. Immersion
2. Trees 100ft Underwater

4. Moonsblood
5. Knell

Binary Code Issues Lyric Video For New Track
New Jersey progressive metal group Binary Code recently announced the May 24th release of the highly-anticipated metal opus "Moonsblood," the full-length follow-up to the buzzed-about 2009 release, "Suspension of Disbelief." With less than a month to go before release, the band has dropped a brand new lyric video for the title track "Moonsblood," which you can hear in the player below.
Guitarist Jesse Zuretti states, "On my end, the music was written during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. We had no power for two weeks, the place I lived in was in total post-apocalyptic dismay. I wrote the song on acoustic guitar, oddly enough. I had just watched the movie 'Melancholia' by Lars Von Triers, which was about a planet colliding with Earth. I just tried to tie in a score of sorts to what I was surrounded by, coupled with the atmosphere of the movie. Oded's lyrics are certainly complimentary to the tone."
You can pre-order "Moonsblood" now via the band's Bandcamp page - the first 50 pre-orders will receive a special signed poster featuring the album art image below. More...
