Volker Streaming "Voodoo Baby"
French rock/metal crossover group Volker recently announced the release of upcoming melodic assault "Dead Doll," which will be hitting North American retailers on May 26th, 2017.
Today, Volker is pleased to reveal the first single off the new album, entitled "Voodoo Baby." The track charges forward with a raucous hard rock-meets-punk sound, weaving eerie throwback sci-fi film sounds throughout. "Voodoo Baby" is propelled by frontwoman Jen Nyx's signature horror-driven lyricism.
Guitarist and lead composer Ulrich Wegrich says, "It may come as no surprise that this song is about Voodoo stuff! It's about a lady magician owning her mystical powers and using her spells on men... for revenge! Volker Announces "Dead Doll" Album
Volker is new to the North American heavy metal scene, but is destined to break out in a big way with the release of upcoming melodic assault, "Dead Doll," hitting North American retailers on May 26th, 2017 via Overpowered Records / AISA/RED distribution.
Building upon the diverse musical background of the French four-piece, "Dead Doll" blends assorted heavy music influences such as 90's grunge rock, retro power metal, classic rock, and even horror punk to create an accessible, engaging sound that has yet to be matched by any current artist of late.
Check out a teaser for Volker's upcoming music video for the single "Obey!" below. The North American version of Dead Doll also features a bonus remix of the track, remixed by Strugg. Composer/guitarist Ulrich Wegrich states:
"Conceptually, 'Dead Doll' is inspired by old horror movies and gothic themes such as ghosts, death, sorcery, etc. All of the lyrics were written by Jen and are inspired by the darkness in our world, and some - mainly 'Obey!' and 'Suicide Love Addict' - discuss human nature and primal instinct. Der Weg Einer Freiheit To Support Moonspell
German underground black metal group Der Weg Einer Freiheit just announced a tour as main support to Moonspell and Volker. The tour begins on December 6th, and is focused on Spain and France.

Volker Announces Shows With Moonspell
Kaotoxin, in collaboration with K Productions, is proud to announce Volker will tour France with Der Weg Einer Freiheit and Moonspell in December.

Volker Releases New EP
Formed in 2015 by three Otargos members and an ex-Noein singer, Volker is all about mixing cold wave, dark goth, and metal, playing with dead things in the dark of night during the cold of winter.
After a couple months spent on heavy song writing and rehearsing, Volker started hitting the road to test this cadaveric rocking formula and quickly entered the studio to record a debut, self-titled EP.
