River Black Launches Full Album Stream
River Black today releases a self-titled album worldwide, which was recorded in New Jersey’s Trax East Studios with producer Eric Rachel, and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side. You can also stream all the tracks below.
Regarding today's release, the band comments: "We're happy this animal is getting released into the wild. We worked hard on it for a while and it's time has finally come. There are many pictures painted in this music, may it motivate you."

River Black (Ex-Burnt By The Sun, Revocation etc.) debuts a new song entitled "Jaws", taken from the band’s upcoming self-titled debut album, which will be released July 07th via Season Of Mist. River Black features former members of Burnt By The Sun (vocalist Mike Olender, guitarist John Abudato and drummer Dave Witte) and Revocation bassist Brett Bamberger.

River Black Posts "Low"
River Black is now streaming the first brutal track taken from the band's self-titled debut album, scheduled for release on July 7th, 2017. Check out advance song "Low" in the YouTube player. Vocalist Mike Olender comments on behalf of River Black:
"Our first track out, 'Low' is an expression of horror at how religion can become twisted and manipulated by charlatans and demagogues. It was inspired by a news report I heard about a journalist who spent some time with the now-deceased Isis leader 'Johnny Jihad.'
"It revealed how this man used brutality with the purpose of inspiring others with similarly twisted minds. He used videos of his actions as recruiting tools. I was struck by the thought that there are people out there, who not only wouldn't be repelled by these horrific videos, but actually excited and inspired by the images of this man gleefully sawing off the heads of the orange-clad victims kneeling before him. Faiths have always had these characters throughout history, but it is surreal to realize we are living in such dark historic times."

River Black Signs With Season Of Mist
Season of Mist is proud to announce the new signing of River Black, with the band currently recording at New Jersey’s Trax East studio alongside producer Eric Rachel for an album to see release later this year. The label comments:
"River Black is an emotional reaction; an answer to the call of today's heavy music. It is a creative process that journeys to the heart and soul; purging all the good, the bad and the ugly along the way.
"The band includes four veterans of the metal scene in its ranks; guitarist John Adubato (ex Burnt By The Sun), vocalist Mike Olender (ex Burnt By The Sun / For The Love Of... / Endeavor), bassist Brett Bamberger (Revocation, ex East Of The Wall), and Dave Witte (Municipal Waste, ex Burn By The Sun) on drums.
"River Black was formed by Adubato and Witte after the dissolution of Burn By The Sun. The duo felt the need to keep the spirit and energy behind that going, pushing it a darker and heavier direction than anything in their collective past,and enlisted long-time friend Bamberger.
