Unearthing The Extreme Metal Underground
Holy crap, more than one Unearthing column is arriving in a single year? It's not an early Christmas present, we're just back on the indie train bringing you the best of the best from the metal underground. Shifting gears heavily from the last look at progressive bands in October, today we're going to cover some of the most extreme groups around in the death and black metal realms.
Dyscarnate
After releasing a demo and an EP back in the group's early years, the extremely bludgeoning U.K. group Dyscarnate first came to our attention in 2009 by signing to Siege Of Amida Records. That partnership would see the release of the bulk of Dyscarnate's existing catalog: “Enduring The Massacre” in 2010 followed by “And So It Came To Pass” in 2012.
Sadly, the band was dormant on the release front for several years afterword, eventually parting ways with vocalist Henry Yates and recruiting new member Al Llewellyn in late 2015. The fruits of that collaboration are finally on the horizon as Dyscarnate is now appropriately signed on Unique Leader – a label specifically known for devastating technical death metal.
A third full-length album is coming in 2017 and we can't wait to hear it, but for now you can check out previous album “And So It Came To Pass" here:

This time, the duo surrounded themselves with famous activists of the underground scene D.G. (Mispyrming), Doug Moore (Pyrrhon), Jürgen Bartsch (Bethleh em) and Mories (Gnaw Their Tongues).
The sublime cover art was painted by Polish artist Andrzej Masianis and the layout was handed to renowned French Artist Dehn Sora."Clandestine Sacrament" will be released October 28th on Digipack CD, 12" LP, and digital formats. The track listing is as follows:

Death Fetishist Signs With Debemur Morti
Once again, the French label Debemur Morti Productions flirts dangerously with madness, this time joining forces with U.S. outfit Death Fetishist, a project from tireless composer Matron Thorn (the tortured and creative mind behind the beast Aevangelist).
There is little doubt that Matron Thorn is a twisted virtuoso of our time, his mind continuously bursting with sinister musical ideas. As expected, Death Fetishist is a new step in horror, a supreme devilish entity evolved from the deepest spheres of obscure death metal and the murky, poisonous atmospheres of harrowing black metal.
Whilst awaiting the release of a devastating first full-length offering in the upcoming months, you can initially taste the abomination by listening to "Lucifer Descending" below. More...
