Bardus Posts Full Album Online

The entire "Stella Porta" album from Philadelphia's Bardus is streaming today, unloading the avalanche of intoxicated sludge residue upon the masses as the record is prepared for proper release later this week.

Bardus comments: "We chose to work with Steve Poponi at The Gradwell House Studio in Haddon Heights, New Jersey to record this record. We had been sitting on these songs for a while and were excited to get them out. This record is an extension of who we are as people, and as a band. We use this band as an escape and outlet from real life and try to create our own world of sounds in the process. We wanted to make a heavy record without offending people's ears, but more so, inviting them in."

New album "Stella Porta" will be released on CD and digitally through Solar Flare Records this Friday, April 1st. A listing of upcoming tour dates is also avaialble after the jump. More...

Bardus Signs With Solar Flare Records

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based Bardus has hooked up with Clermont-Ferrand noisemerchants Solar Flare Records -- label home to Pigs, Sofy Major, American Heritage, Fashion Week, The Great Sabatini and more -- for the April release of the band's upcoming new release "Stella Porta."

"If the Melvins, Eyehategod, Unsane, and Queens of the Stone Age all somehow co-fathered some ungodly offspring" -- as written by Metalsucks -- is an accurate description of what Bardus sounds like. Formed in 2011, Bardus has been daring listeners to define their sound, which has been described as "genre-defying impetuosity" by Heavy Planet. Citing heavy, sludgy, groove, psychedelia, noise rock influences, the band continues to challenge listeners.

Following their debut full-length, Solus, self-released in 2013, Bardus has been creating a name for itself through solid DIY touring and supporting national acts abroad. Through their hard hitting style of music, Bardus has continued to develop a sound of their own, as proven on their newest album, "Stella Porta."

Solar Flare Records will issue "Stella Porta" on CD and digitally on April 1st, and preorder packages are available at this location.

The track listing for "Stella Porta" is:

1. Smoke Bath
2. Monolith
3. Sky King
4. Transcendence
5. Haze
6. Oracle
