The Glorious Rebellion Streams New Song
Following our premiere of the "Benaquyl" track, The Glorious Rebellion is now streaming brand new song "The Dirtiest Dream Jobs."
Band leader Billy Myers III commented about the track: "Being in a band is actually a pretty terrible idea. For most of us, and definitely in my experience thus far, it's a life of poverty and frustration. And then there's all the idiots you have to deal with.
"This song is a very tongue-in-cheek, cynical jab at the music business. It's a combination of random thoughts and things I've heard douchebags in bands say. Stay in school, kids." More...

The Glorious Rebellion Premieres "Benaquyl"
We've got a real treat for you today if you want something loud and to the damn point already!
The Glorious Rebellion's new album "Euphoric" will drop on April 8th via Magnetic Eye Records, offering up six tracks of stellar, sludgy noise rock with a dose of groove metal.
That feels like an eternity away, but today we're premiering new single "Benaquyl" well in advance of the release to let you know what to expect - check it out below!
Band founder Billy Myers III said the following about the track: "Insomnia is something I deal with pretty regularly. This is a song filled with the things you say to yourself when you're bashing your head at your desk at work after a couple weeks with little to no sleep."
You can find more info on The Glorious Rebellion at Facebook or read the band's recent entry in our Pit Stories series about breaking shit on stage over here. In their own words, the members of The Glorious Rebellion describe themselves like this:
"Loud. Noisy. Get to the fucking Point. We're not here to make friends. We're not here to play nice. We're not here to 'support the scene.' We're not looking for a good time. Crank it up and yell at it until our point is made and then get off the stage."
"Euphoric" has some seriously tongue-in-cheek track titles (personal favorite: "Bitches Hate Misogyny"), with the full track listing as follows:
1. It's a Sucker's Game, Kid
2. Emmett Brown Has Never Met a Scott That Wasn't Great
3. Benaquyl
4. Have I Told You Lately That I Loathe You
5. The Dirtiest Dream Jobs
6. Bitches Hate Misogyny More...

Pit Stories: Breaking Shit On Stage
After Toothgrinder shared a story of accidentally tearing down the stage lighting last week, today The Glorious Rebellion offers up another Pit Story of on-stage destruction, this time self-inflicted and getting a little out of control. Vocalist Billy Myers comments:
We're slowly gaining a little bit of a reputation as "that band that breaks shit onstage." Our music is loud and violent, which translates to chaos at the end of our set usually resulting in guitars being thrown into drum kits, amps being toppled over, etc. It's just something we've always done. We totally shouldn't, as we're poor and doing dumb things like this can get expensive in repairs and replacements, but c'est la vie.
On a tour stop in Johnson City, TN we played a normal set for us, and at the end of the show, as usual, things got nuts. That part would've been fine except I forgot that the stage had been backlined and the next band's gear was behind ours. I drop kicked one of my 4x12 cabs which sent it toppling backwards, into one of the local band's half stacks. The head that was on top went flying about 10 feet landing offstage, along with the cab which went about 5 feet back. Luckily, nothing of theirs was broken, however my cab landed on top of one of the floodlights we use as part of our stage set up. We realized this when we started smelling burning, and saw this when we started seeing smoke and then fire.
Stay in school, kids.
