Inverted Serenity Posts Album Trailer

Winnipeg, Manitoba-based death metal outfit Inverted Serenity is proud to announce deatils on upcoming third full-length album "As Spectres Wither," set for release on Friday, October 6th. Inverted Serenity had this to say:

“For us, this album represents a great leap forward both in terms of production quality and song writing. We were more familiar with the process of writing and recording this time around and that experience went a long way in making this album better sonically and musically.

"With that said, we don’t really have a consistent formula for writing songs nor do we really limit ourselves to a specific genre or style. This translates into a varied album that pulls a little something from our diverse influences. It’s eclectic but cohesive, at least we hope so!”

1. Dead Dialectics
2. Mitral Genesis
3. We Who Wander
4. Cornerstones
5. Paragon

Inverted Serenity Posts Lyric Video

Winnipeg, MB tech death metal band Inverted Serenity just posted a new lyric video for "Wrought (Rot)" in support of new album "Integral," released last month on October 9, 2015. The band comments:

"'Wrought' is a full speed track joining the noticeable aspects of tech-death, thrash, and black metal into a catchy and emotional fusion of music. The odd time signatures among certain parts of the song are able to remain at a patterning that does not sway away from an enjoyable flow.

"The chorus involves a chant back and forth between the screams of Tomas and Marco that is certainly one of our most impressive and brutal chorus structured vocal phrasings. The ending of the song drifts into a guitar interlude written and performed by Marco.

"The idea in the lyrics of this song is that the process of creation is also a direct means of destruction. Wrought is to self-create, as (rot) is to self-decimate. As we enter life in the physical world, we grow and create with one another and it can be a viciously difficult experience. Through the evolution of seeing the larger cycles and patterns in life, returning to the stillness of the omnipresent universal mind (death) from which we came (birth) is accepted as an inescapable truth. Inverted Serenity Offering Free Track Download

Coming off a support slot in Winnipeg last week for the "Infernus" tour featuring Hate Eternal, Misery Index, Beyond Creation and Rivers of Nihil, tech death metal band Inverted Serenity is offering fans a free download of the track "Elemental Abyss."

Taken from new album "Integral" released last month, you can stream the track below or grab your copy at Bandcamp here. Inverted Serenity comments:

"Perhaps our most mature and technically structured songwriting on the record can be found in Elemental Abyss. This song comes out of the gate with a full speed technical thrash pace that unfolds itself into larger layered riffs all while maintaining a mid-paced headbanging groove underlying the majority of the song.

"Heavy and polyrhythmic riffs are explored akin to the sounds of bands like Decapitated and Meshuggah. A 7/4 time signature is played while Marcos vocals push the thickeness of the song along. The track is also outro to the album and has the hugest sounding melodies we have built upon in the history of our band. Tomas’ massive sounding screams lead you into the auditory abyss we specifically placed as the final stretch of the album.

"The themes explored lyrically are tied into the unknowing of our oceans on Earth, which can be paralleled to the unknowing of the depths of our emotions inside of us. While we are immersed in this material world structured by the elements, through discernment and letting go of the weight of physical reality, we are immersed in the fractal nature of reality and its infinite depth." Inverted Serenity Streaming "Breath Of Life"

Producing technical groovy death metal rooted in musical duality and lyricism, Winnipeg's Inverted Serenity is now streaming new track "Breath of Life" below, taken off upcoming album "Integral."

The new album will drop on October 9, 2015 and Inverted Serenity had this to say about the "Breath Of Life" single:

"This track is the longest on the record and is definitely one of the most impressive songs structurally. Beginning with a doom inspired riff that picks itself up into an uplifting proggy type groove which then unexpectedly turns itself into an atmospheric black metal passage is just one of the many interesting changes the song paints itself into.

"This is also the first track that we as a band chose to include clean group vocals with pan out really smoothly with the dissonant acoustic guitar riff written by Tomas a few years prior. The theme discussed in the lyrics is based upon balancing of mind as it increasingly unfolds itself unto the realization that it is the observer of all that is. Through the process knowing the rhythmic balanced interchange of natures polarity (inhalation/exhalation), the endless unfolding is fully expressed." More...
