Chasing Safety Premieres New Music Video

Today we're teaming up with the band to give you an advance look at what to expect from "Nomad" - check out an energetic video for the album's opening track "Brand New Prison" below.

“Brand New Prison" is about the daily struggle we all face, and how everyday it seems there is something weighing on our minds. Chasing Safety frontman Johnny Galivan elaborates:

“The majority of the inspiration for the song has come from crucial life decisions I have been having to make lately. The theme of 'Nomad' is about how no matter how many people you are surrounded by, you can still feel alone. Being the first one written, I wrote this song about how even though I have my family and friends, with these types of life decisions they weigh solely on me.”

Outerloop Records Announces Label Showcase

After recently announcing the formation of a new artist development deal with Cooking Vinyl America, Outerloop Records is thrilled to announce an official label showcase to be held at The Studio at Webster Hall in New York City, set for November 17th, 2016.

The showcase will feature performances from all four label artists: Lorna Shore, Chasing Safety, Youth in Revolt, and Megosh. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 21, 2016 and can be purchased here.

Outerloop Records founder, Mike Mowery, states: "One of the first things that we discussed with Cooking Vinyl was the importance of live shows for our artists. Developing artists requires getting them in front of people, and we are excited to give the fans of these bands, and the music industry professionals in the greater NYC area, the opportunity to see all of our bands in one place on one night. We plan to make the evening a fun one including some gifts, prizes and contests." More...

Chasing Safety Announces New Album

After taking time to write and record new music, post-hardcore outfit Chasing Safety is thrilled to announce the release of sophomore album "Nomad" on January 6th, 2017 with Outerloop Records.

The band makes this announcement shortly following the relaunch of Outerloop Records in partnership with Cooking Vinyl America. "Nomad" was co-written and produced, mixed, and mastered by Kile O'Dell and Curtis Martin. The theme of the album is a relatable one: how no matter the size or amount of people that surround you, the feeling of being alone is still present.

Johnny Galivan elaborates: "'Nomad' is a genuine album about life. A lot of the songs on this album are about the thoughts I have about growing up and seeing how fast life goes by. The album is called 'Nomad' because the overarching theme comes down to the idea that you are on your own to figure life out and make your own decisions.

"It was a blast to create - we wrote this album collectively in the same room with one another and it goes to show that writing together not only makes us better musicians but we've also come up with an album that is our best to date and one we're extremely proud of." More...
