Realms Of Vision To Release "Through All Unknown"

Creator-Destructor Records is excited to announce the late March release of Through All Unknown, the upcoming full-length from Bay Area-based Realms Of Vision.

Realms Of Vision began in 2015 and has been establishing a name for themselves regionally with their special blend of slow destruction. Featuring Frank Costa (Animosity, Entheos) and Corey Largent on guitars and vocals, Mike Ambrose (Set Your Goals) on drums, and Brandon McCubbin on bass, the California hard-hitters are road-worn experts in their craft, and the nine tracks that comprise Through All Unknown reveal that resoundingly.

While their debut EP introduced the world to the band's sonic intent, their debut album serves as a massive accomplishment in the band's progression. Costa explains: "Through All Unknown is an album about trudging down the path of reality. It explores life and death, the natural world, the dark powers that control our lives, and trying to connect with a spirit greater than ourselves. The music has expanded melodically and thematically from the Unrevenged EP, while keeping the influences heard on that release very much alive. Through All Unknown is the first major step in our identity as a band, and we can't wait to keep exploring."

Realms Of Vision will release Through All Unknown on CD, LP, and digital platforms on March 30th, 2018.

Animosity Breaks Up

San Francisco, California's Animosity has broken up. Formed in 2000, the band has released albums with Tribunal Records and Black Market Activities. Frontman Leo Miller has provided Lambgoat with the following statement:

"You have never seen us rest this long. For those of you wondering about Animosity, you are correct to have assumed that we disbanded. It has been nearly a year since all five of us were in a room (or the same state) together. In this time, we have written zero songs and played zero shows. In short, nothing happened which I mean to say plainly and clearly. We are all still alive and friends, but following our last tour we just did nothing band related. Many of us grew up in this band, and for me personally, Animosity was somehow prioritized over everything including my very own life. This band formed our communities, relationships, experiences and the lens through which we view the world. Eight years later, I look back to being 14 years old playing Animosity shows in garages and backyards and I can honestly say that our musical and experiential goals have been exceeded in ways that once seemed impossible to me. If you haven't gotten enough of Animosity, please rest assured that we have.

"This is not to say, that everyone is gone from music. In the time since our last show, Navene finished his spectacular debut solo album called Fleshrot – dementia/dyslexia. Navene wrote played and recorded all the music himself and features beastly vocals from Jonny Davy. Check out the project here and stay posted for album release info. Also, Navene has teamed up with Tosin Abasi and is drumming in their new band Animals As Leaders. Chase also has a new band called Son of Arelius from which you can expect a full-length album out soon. New music from Evan and Frank can be anticipated in various different forms. As for me, I moved out east to study the environment.

"To Animosity fans worldwide, thank you for doing this with us, it was an awesomely epic journey. Be well!"

Animosity Drummer Returns To The Band

Animosity has recently been rejoined by drummer Navene Koperweis, who took a break from the band earlier this year. The group has issued the following statement:

"Some people may have noticed that on the last tour, we did not have Navene jamming with us. He was taking a well needed break from the band and we were fortunate to have Bret Batdorf step up to the daunting task of playing his parts. Considering the amount of time that being in this band takes away from our homelife and the toll that it takes on our general sanity, it was a healthy decision. We can't thank Brett enough for taking on such a challenge and making the last tours possible. However, we are happy to announce that Navene Le Muchine is back with the camp and we are beginning to write new material for a future release. Anyone coming to see Animosity at any future performance should expect the full experience, with the full band and a really fun time."

Animosity's "Teeth Grinder" Video Premiers On HBB

Animosity unleashes the video for the song “Teeth Grinder” for world premiere April 11 on MTV2’s Headbanger’s Blog. Following its blogosphere release, the video will make its television debut April 12 on MTV2’s Headbanger’s Ball.

Under the direction of skate video extraordinaire Richie Valdez (Job For A Cowboy, Every Time I Die), Animosity randomly explores San Francisco in typical Animosity fashion with its goofy antics and running-a-muck silliness. Vocalist Leo Miller didn’t use his parent’s, contemporary-art-lined house for “Teeth Grinder’s” filming like he did for “The Black Page.” The band instead took its shenanigans to the gritty streets, hilariously ravaging several cultural attributes that epitomize San Francisco.

Animosity first hit the scene in 2000, when most of the members were only 15 years old, with a blistering brand of death metal/hardcore that sought to defy stereotypes and spit in the face of the mainstream. Almost two years after their Black Market Activities debut, Animosity is back and poised to showcase their tremendous talent and growth with “Animal.”

You can catch Animosity on tour on the following dates: More...
