Departe Streaming Full New Album
Australia's extreme metal luminaries from Departe are streaming their debut full-length album "Failure, Subside" online in full. Regarding "Failure, Subside," the band comments:
"Our new album is an exploration grief, isolation, and loss, shifting seamlessly between states of sheer terror, disquieting serenity, and crushing dissonance. It was written with a focus on emotional catharsis, lyrical honesty, and a thick, suffocating atmosphere.
"Light and shade, both in the lyrical and musical sense, play a huge part in what we as a band endeavor to accomplish, and I feel like this album captures exactly what we had aimed for right from the beginning." More...

Departe Posts New Song Stream
Australia's extreme metal luminaries from Departe are streaming the second new track from their debut full-length album, "Failure, Subside." The track, an imposing piece titled "Grief Echoes (Golden Scars)," is available below.
The band comments: "Our new track 'Grief Echoes (Golden Scars)' speaks of both regret and restoration - the suffocating guilt of wounds inflicted through one's own malice and inaction, counterpointed by the sweetness of renewal and rebirth. Things that once were dead are seeing new life, and old wounds are transformed into things of beauty. 'Grief Echoes (Golden Scars)' is sonically crushing, sinister, and hypnotic, trailing the lyrics throughout from overwhelming darkness, through contemplation, into cathartic emotional release."
New album "Failure, Subside" will be released by Season of Mist worldwide on October 14th and features the following track listing:
1. Seas of Glass
2. Ashes in Bloom
3. Wither
4. Grief Echoes (Golden Scars)

Départe Posts New Song "Vessel"
Australian progressive blackened metal outfit Départe premieres a new song entitled "Vessel", taken from the band's upcoming new album "Failure, Subside", which will be out in stores October 14 via Season of Mist.
Comments frontman Sam Dishington: "Our new track ‘Vessel’ is a reaction to deeply entrenched feelings of isolation and futility. It deals with the despair of being stranded in that place, that void, and even still finding peace, stillness, and victory, drawing you out into the light. From a musical standpoint, ‘Vessel’ is quite broad, touching on many of the elements you can expect to hear throughout the rest of the album. Dark, crushing and dissonant, yet in the same breath powerful and emotive." More...
