Sanzu Announces New Shows
Just a few days after a show supporting Lamb Of God in Perth, extreme metal outfit Sanzu is pleased to announce the band will once again depart from the shores of Western Australia to perform an unforgiving unique brand of death metal to fans along the reaches of the east coast and Tasmania.
Joining Sanzu on the "Savage Hunt" around Australia are Sydney's groove-infused death dealers Daemon Pyre and a host of local and interstate talent. Currently announced dates are as follows:

Sanzu Streaming "Heavy Over The Home"
We have now seen the North American release of "Heavy Over The Home," the debut album from Perth, Australia's Sanzu.
Initially self-released in 2015 "Heavy Over The Home" is being reissued worldwide via Listenable Records on CD and limited edition orange vinyl. This updated version includes revised artwork as well as the "Painless" EP serving as bonus tracks.

Sanzu Posts "Tailor" Lyric Clip
"Heavy Over The Home" is the debut release from Perth, Australia's Sanzu. Initially self-released in 2015, "Heavy Over The Home "is now being re-issued worldwide via Listenable Records on CD and limited edition orange vinyl.
This updated version includes revised artwork as well as the "Painless" EP serving as bonus tracks, all due to be available on May 13th, 2016 in Europe followed by a North American release of May 20th,
In advance of its release, today an official new lyric video for the track "Tailor" come online. Issues vocalist Zachary Andrews of the track's lyrical components: "When I first heard this track, I was instantly struck by its mechanical sounding riffs. It sounded like archaic clock work to me. This gave me the strange mental image of the Seven Dwarfs gleefully working in unison, but inside some big evil factory in some twisted and grim setting.
"I started writing the lyrics for 'Tailor' set on condemning materialism and commercialism. This then led me to write a song about slave labor but halfway through I realized how hypocritical I was being when I looked back at all the stuff I use on a daily basis being rooted in that industry and culture. The song ended up taking a turn to be far more sarcastic than I had planned. I guess in the end I was purging some of my own guilt for buying crap that I don't need and turning a blind eye to it when convenient." More...
Sanzu Re-Releasing "Heavy Over The Home"
Forged just three years ago in Perth, Australia, Sanzu is a unique beast that has unleashed heavy music in a way that utilizes diversity and originality without straying too far from a death metal foundation.
Melodic sawblade riffs meet savage basslines and earth-quaking percussion on the "Heavy Over The Home" full-length debut, originally released in 2015.

Sanzu Finishes Work On New Album
Perth, Australia’s death metal group Sanzu recently completed the recording and mixing process for a new album and follow-up to previous EP “Painless.”
Titled “Heavy Over The Home,” this new album was recorded by Sanzu in Perth, mixed and mastered by G1 Productions in Somerset - UK, and is set for release on December 3 followed by a full Australian tour.
“Ever since the release of the ‘Painless’ EP we have been working around the clock writing, recording and preparing for the album,” commented vocalist Zachary Andrews.
He goes on to say, “Our debut EP ‘Painless’ came from a place of spiritual and musical naivety. The title was chosen to almost make fun of ourselves for thinking 'yeah this will be easy, piece of cake, painless!' when in fact, Sanzu almost didn't make it through the production phase and it’s possible we wouldn't still be here today. It wasn’t intentional but ‘Heavy Over the Home’ is significantly darker in theme and sound. Although we still very much have retained the Sanzu sound, this record feels like a different place entirely. This is a concept we hope to continue with each album if possible, exploring the different realms of music and art within the vessel of this band, without sacrificing what is loved in our sound.” More...
Sanzu Crowd Funding New Album
Perth, Australia’s crushing death metal group Sanzu just launched a pre-order campaign to support the release of the band's yet-untitled debut full-length album, which is scheduled for release in late November.
The pre-order campaign will run until October 30th and the group expects to raise sufficient funds to support the costs of the recordings, mastering and pressing of this first full studio release.

Sanzu Posts Entire New EP "Painless"
Hailing from Perth, Australia death metallers Sanzu are streaming their entire new EP "Painless", which was released earlier this year. The album was produced by George Lever at G1 Productions and the album art created by Zachary Andrews at Studio Formless.
