Desolate Pathway Heads "Into The Realms"

The traditional doom merchants from Desolate Pathway have unveiled plans for new material exploring a different direction than their debut album "Valley Of The King."

This upcoming release will be a two-track single, entitled “Into The Realms.” Guitarist Vince Hempstead has called it “a foot into our journey of Greek mythology.”

The A-side, entitled “Into The Realms Of Poseidon,” features Sorrows Path guitarist Kostas Salomidis for a dose of Greek authenticity. On the B-side is a five-minute instrumental entitled "Tales Of Glaucus," a prophetic sea-god who came to the rescue of sailors and fishermen.

Along with the usual digital formats, there will be a limited amount of CDs available at the Fest Of Hades performance in Wakefield, UK. In addition, the group's second album is on the horizon, with a tentative deadline of early 2016.

“Into The Realms” has a release date of October 31st, 2015 to tie in with the Fest Of Hades performance that day. See the band live: More...

Desolate Pathway Taps Kostas Salomidis

U.K. epic doom metal band Desolate Pathway is delighted to announce a guest guitarist for the group's upcoming album: none other than Kostas Salomidis of Greek stalwarts Sorrows Path. The new material comes off the back of last year’s "Valley Of The King."

Guitarist Vince Hempstead commented: “We would like to announce with honour that Kostas Salomidis from the amazing Greek doom band Sorrows Path has recorded 2 guest guitar solos for our 2nd album planned for early 2016. Last week, Kostas recorded the guitar solos at Fragile Studios in Athens with producer Vangelis Yalamas, and the results are amazing. Desolate Pathway Hitting The Road

Tread the Desolate Pathway and follow the great Prince Palidor as he reclaims his throne: formed by ex-guitarist Vince Hempstead of doom legends Pagan Altar, Desolate Pathway is a traditional band for the modern era.

Debut album "Valley of the King" weaves a grandiose and fantastical tale, a quest of a prince claiming his rightful throne of lights, wrapping the tale in true epic doom stylings and powerful sonorous vocals.

Desolate Pathway has a string of live shows coming up, taking the group all over the country in the next few months. The band also announces an additional guitarist to its ranks: Portuguese-born Nuno Silva, who brings his love of hard rock to the table.
