Kontra Reveals New Lineup
At the end of March, Kontra officially announced its reunion, and now the band has revealed the new lineup as well.
Next to the only original member Marco Barraco (singer and rhythm guitar), now Kontra consists of Luigi Di Meglio on lead guitar, Luca Buonanno on bass guitar, and Francesco Verrazzo on drums (former drummer of Manach Seherath).
The band is currently rearranging all the old songs and has in store for the next months a surprise for the fans. Stay tuned for more details, and be sure to follow the latest on the band at Facebook.
Kontra Announces Reunion
Naples, Italy-based thrash outfit Kontra was active from 1999 to 2007 before prematurely calling it quits. Now the band announces its official reunion as a three piece featuring original singer / rhythm guitarist Marco Barraco.
Influenced by German and Bay Area thrash, Kontra played live in Naples and the surrounding areas while producing two demo releases: “Strike Zero” in 2003 limited in only 100 copies and the "Demo 2005’" which was never published before the band split up.
