Eindhoven Announces First Bands For 2015 Festival

Samael, Necrophobic, and Gehennah (Sweden) are the first acts that have been confirmed for the seventh edition of the Eindhoven Metal Meeting festival, set to take place December 11th & 12th, 2015 at the Effenaar venue in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

A whopping 29 more bands will still be added to the line-up. The organizers of the festival comment also:

"As last year's edition was completely sold-out, a logical step would be to expand. However, we unanimously decided against this as we want to maintain the unique atmosphere of the festival. Therefore, de Effenaar will once again be the place to be for all death, black, thrash, pagan and doom metal fans at the end of this year!

"The Swiss metal band Samael will play the classic album 'Ceremony of Opposites' in its entirety at the exclusive fly-in festival-show. After that, the band will perform a few extra songs.

"Necrophobic, the highly praised blackened death metal band from Stockholm finally makes a return to Eindhoven for an exclusive BeNeLux show! Anders Strokirk - who handled the vocal duties on the band's all time classic album 'The Nocturnal Silence' - rejoined the band. Do not miss this!

"The Swedish black/thrash metal band Gehennah also make their comeback to The Netherlands after 15 years of absence. Expect classic hits like 'Headbangers Against Disco' and 'Kings Of The Sidewalk' aside new material. A very limited number of Early Bird tickets are now on sale through our official website."

Gehennah Signs With Metal Blade

The Swedish rowdy metallers from Gehennah (not to be confused with similarly named bands with slightly different spellings from Norway and the U.S.) have signed to Metal Blade Records and will release "Metal Police" on February 6th, 2015. The band comments:

"Gehennah are very proud to sign with such a legendary label as Metal Blade Records who has released so many of our old favorite albums through the years. We are looking forward to this collaboration and to irritate more people than ever!"

To start off this unholy collaboration, Metal Blade will release an extended version of the "Metal Police" EP, exclusively on vinyl. Pre-order options are available at this location.

In the words of thy masters: "We are very happy to re-release 'Metal Police' in a new heavily beefed up version as a full-length on Metal Blade Records. We feel that this will give even more metalheads a chance to get a taste of the new Gehennah while waiting for our up-coming new full-length album. We took the chance to add two songs from the 'Metal Police'-session and six recently re-recorded old ones that has stayed with us in our live-set, making it a total of 12 jawbreaking songs of criminal black thrash 'n' roll mayhem."

The track listing is as follows:

01. Metal Police
02. Four Knuckle Facelift
03. Crime Career
04. Fuck 'Em All
05. Carve off Your Face (And Shove It up Your Ass)
06. Black Jack Loser
07. Decibel Rebel
08. 666 Drunks & Rock n' Roll
09. Bitch with a Bulletbelt
10. Hellstorm
11. Six-Pack Queen
