The Element Prepares For Second Album
California's The Element are preparing the long awaited second album "From Sand - Part II" and have employed the services of famed producer Jens Bogren to handle production duties.
Back In 2015, The Element started working on the new release and this time with Borgren at the helm, the band seeks to accelerate its career. Borgren worked with bands such as Arch Enemy, Symphony X, Angra, Pain of Salvation, Katatonia, Dragonforce, Paradise Lost, James Labrie and Devin Townshend. In charge of mastering is Tony Lindgren, both from Fascination Street Studios.
“From Sand - Part II” shows the band’s natural evolution with heavier, more straightforward, and more aggressive songs, while keeping their main features, such as sophisticated instrumental segments and orchestrations.
The album's first single will be the song “Dusk," which will also be made into a music video, once again directed by Tommy Merry. Soon the release dates for the single and album will be announced.

The Element Recording New Album
The Element has entered the studio to record a new album titled "From Sand - Part II." Once again, The Element's vocalist/guitarist Rafael Macedo will be in charge of the engineering and producing.
Full details on the track listing, artwork, and release date are still forthcoming. Rafael Macedo comments:
"Even tho most of the songs were written with the previous album, since it is a concept album divided in part I and II, a lot has changed. Marco is absolutely killing on the drums! The musicianship that we developed in the last couple of years from playing live and jamming as a band can clearly be heard into the new music.
"The heavy songs are becoming heavier and in the other hand, the more progressive ones are becoming even more elaborated, which allows us to bring the music to a whole new level. I'm pretty sure a lot of people will be surprise by this album. We couldn't be happier about it!"
Drummer Marco Bicca adds: "I am really happy with the results we had with the first 5 songs that I recorded with the Rafael's help. He is not only a great composer but also an awesome engineer and that helps A LOT! Trust me, recording drums is a long and difficult process and having someone that knows how it works is a blessing. I am excited for you guys because you have no idea what is coming your way! Stay tuned for more updates!" More...
