Last Leaf Down Releases New Video
Today, Last Leaf Down releases a third single from upcoming album "Bright Wide Colder," which is set to drop on March 31st. Check out "Purple Skies" in the player below.
For fans of Petter Carlsen, Anathema, Katatonia, Alcest, Olafur Arnalds, and Mogwai. If you missed them, you can still the previously released video for "Ghost Trails" here as well as "The Path" at this location.
Last Leaf Down Posts "Ghost Trails" Video
Last Leaf Down has a new single titled "Ghost Trails" out now - check it out via the music video below. "Ghost Trails" is taken off the band's forthcoming second album "Bright Wide Colder," set to be released on March 31st via Lifeforce Records.
Lifeforce comments on the album's title and sound: "This title reveals a meaning behind the plain words, without explaining too much in advance. The music is no different. Quickly, listeners have an inkling of the intentions of the musicians from Switzerland.
"However, you cannot quickly feel and process all shades and subtleties. Last Leaf Down's songwriting has to be characterized as harmonically, valuably and introverted. Last Leaf Down Releases "The Path"
A brand new video and first single "The Path" from the forthcoming Last Leaf Down album just came online and can be seen below. The band's upcoming album will drop next year via Lifeforce Records. The label comments:
"It took some time to discover the multilayered, intricate world between shoegaze and post-rock, but time is something Last Leaf Down are not worrying about. The quartet from Solothurn, Switzerland concentrates on songs of timeless beauty with melancholic nuances, and created the debut album 'Fake Lights' (2014) in this manner.
"Started in 2003 as dark and doom metal band with heavy tunes, the group changed direction after the integration of new musicians in 2007. Since then, Last Leaf Down soon became known for playing heavenly, ethereal sounds added by distinct, dreamy vocals.

Swiss shoegaze act Last Leaf Down released another music video, this time for the new track "Giant." The song appears on the debut release "Fake Lights," which drops tomorrow, November 14th via Lifeforce Records.

Last Leaf Down Signs With Lifeforce
Lifeforce Records is proud to announce the signing of Swiss shoegaze band Last Leaf Down. The label comments:
"Founded in 2003 the band first started to play some sort of doom/dark metal with a strong Katatonia influence.
"2007 marked a big turning point for Last Leaf Down with singer and drummer leaving the band. Replacements have been found soon with Benjamin Schenk as the new vocalist and Patrick Hof as their new drummer. The change in the line-up also marked the change in the band's sound away from Metal to their present direction, which reminds on Shoegaze-Bands from the 80s, but without sounding outdated.
"Followed by local shows the band recorded a promo EP in 2011 and in 2013 Last Leaf Down recorded new demo tracks they did spread widely through social networks such as Youtube, Soundcloud and Facebook, which brought the band a lot of attention by critics and new fans.
