Puig Destroyer Releasing Album On Vinyl
With opening day just around the corner, grindcore’s baseball fanatics from Puig Destroyer will release their debut full-length, self-titled record on vinyl LP for the first time on Record Store Day, April 18th, via No Sleep Records.
The upcoming vinyl release will be extremely limited to only 700 copies, pressed on white with heavy red splatter and will include new artwork.
Inspired by Los Angeles Dodgers’ All-Star outfielder Yasiel Puig, Puig Destroyer is made up of members Riley Breckenridge (Thrice), Ian Miller (Kowloon Walled City), Mike Minnick (Curl Up and Die) and Jon Howell (Kowloon Walled City).
The band arrived on field with a handful of EPs that captured the attention of fans and critics with a unique concoction of aggressive hardcore and America’s favorite past time. Puig Destroyer Brings Together Baseball And Grind
Nothing says “America” like good ol’ fashioned baseball and torrential grindcore. Combine the two and you’ve got Puig Destroyer (not to be confused with the band you are currently no doubt thinking of when you assumed it was a typo in the headline).
Today the band has joined forces with No Sleep Records and will be releasing a new self-titled record digitally on September 30th, which just so happens to be the first day of the MLB Postseason. Pre-order info the record is available now at this location.
