Superjoint Gearing Up For U.S. Headline Tour
The third leg of Superjoint’s U.S. live invasion will begin on September 22nd in New Orleans, Louisiana. The band will pillage through over two-dozen venues across the country including a stop at this year’s edition of Rock ‘N’ Shock in Worcester, Massachusetts, the trek coming to a close on October 20th in Orlando, Florida.
Superjoint will be joined by DevilDriver with additional support provided by Housecore labelmates Child Bite and King Parrot as well as Cane Hill. Superjoint frontman Philip H. Anselmo comments:
“Do your pushups, take your vitamins, and start some light jogging now, because this is gonna be a hell-of-a-shitload of shows this fall. Olde School rules only. Leave your fashion statement at home or at the door. Individuals unite for one night only at a place near you, and then disperse like wildfire to dry pages. Bring it on, sisters and brothers. Always championing the underdogs of this world and The Underground since 1988! Yours truly, PHA.” More...
Child Bite Gearing Up For Tour With Syk
Housecore Records recording artists Child Bite and Syk will join forces later this week for a European live takeover. The journey will commence on July 21st in Milano, Italy, and rampage its way through nineteen cities, concluding August 12th in Plzen, Czech Republic.
The trek will mark the final performances for both Child Bite guitarist Brandon Sczomak and drummer Jeff Kraus, who joined the band in 2010 and 2014 respectively. Child Bite's remaining tours for the year will feature guitarist Jeremy Waun from Detroit-based experimental punk metallers Reverend and previous Child Bite drummer Ben Moore, who played with the band from 2011 to 2013.
Comments frontman Shawn Knight, "It has been four years since our first European tour, so we are plenty ready to get back over there and freak some people out. [Housecore Records head, Philip] Anselmo introduced us to the music of Syk a year or two back and we were immediately intrigued. Both bands are kind of misfits so I believe we'll get along just fine! Like a monstrous, eight-headed peanut butter and jelly sandwich wreaking havoc across the land..." More...
Child Bite Gears Up For New Touring
Detroit noise rock unit Child Bite is readying for part two of a U.S. live assault supporting labelmates Superjoint.
The tour will make its way west from San Antonio, Texas on April 21st and run through May 14th in Dallas, Texas. Additional support will be provided by fellow Motor City thrashers Battlecross.
Prior to the journey, Child Bite will play the annual Berserker Fest this Saturday in Pontiac, Michigan. Just four days later the band will then perform a one off show in Evansville, Illinois before joining up with Uncle Phil and co for another round of roadbound shenanigans.
Comments Knight: "We haven't done a full west coast tour since last summer with Voivod, so of course we are excited to head that way next week with Superjoint and Battlecross. Lucky for Texas, Anselmo and co always have a collective boner for that state so we will be hitting them again on this trip. Where else... Colorado for three days! Many edibles will be consumed, so expect those shows to be extra psychedelic. The whole thing will be a real humdinger and a gosh darn hoot and a half, I promise you." More...

Comments Child Bite frontman Shawn Knight: "We are honored to the core of our miserable existence to go on tour again with Phil, Jimmy, Kevin, Stephen, and Joey a.k.a., Super-fucking-joint. What they see in us, we may never know. Surprisingly, we've only played with Battlecross once ever, even though we both 'hail' from the Metro Detroit area. They look like a bunch of sweet peas so I'm sure we'll get along. So yeah... Let's have fun and do irreparable damage to our bodies and reputations on this outing, ok?" More...

Child Bite Releases "Vermin Mentality" Video
Detroit's Child Bite is pleased to unveil the visual companion to the track "Vermin Mentality," taken from the "Negative Noise" full-length, released earlier this year via Housecore Records.
After an incompetent scientist botches a series of tests on his lab rats, the creatures mutate and launch a vicious attack on humanity starting with the members of Child Bite, who must defend themselves from the stronghold of their tour van against the monstrous pests.
The delightfully murine-centric clip was written and directed by Ryan Oliver of Deathblow Productions and includes appearances by Bill Moseley (The Devil's Rejects, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2), Wayne Alon Scott (Tim And Eric's Bedtime Stories), Danny Belrose (Portlandia, Brooklyn 99), Sarah French (Killer Biker Chicks, Strip Club Slasher), and Elissa Dowling (Tales Of Halloween, We Are Still Here).
Elaborates Child Bite frontman Shawn Knight: "We consider ourselves very lucky to have snagged Ryan Oliver for our latest music video. We were familiar with his short films Restoration and Air Condition since they had screened at the Housecore Horror Film Fest. He had seen our previous videos, including 'Ancestral Ooze' [featuring King Buzzo from the Melvins], and was up for the task of dumping countless hours and buckets of elbow grease into this ambitious masterwork. Child Bite Checks In From The Road
Detroit noise rock unit Child Bite is currently in the midst of a massive North American live takeover and the van just keeps on rolling. The band recently wrapped up a tour with Voivod alongside labelmates King Parrot and is currently crumbling stages from June 24th through June 30th, again with King Parrot.
Two Child Bite-only dates will close the tour on July 1st and 2nd. From there, the band will head home to do laundry (maybe) before taking to the streets yet again with Michigan hardcore thrash punks S.N.A.F.U. from July 27th through July 31st.
In August, Child Bite joins Lord Dying, Black Fast, and Joel Grind for a massive thirty-six date journey that runs through September 29th. You can't stop the madness!
"Oh sweet Freddy Krueger in the sky," comments vocalist Shawn Knight, "many dark thanks for blessing us with twenty-eight fucking Voivod shows. Coolest dudes ever and of course some of the raddest prog/punk/metal jams to ever come out of this universe, or galaxy even. Which of those two is bigger? I'll look it up later. Any who, we can't sit around sobbing in our oatmeal due to Voivod-withdrawal. Us and King Parrot still have a week or so to go, and then we do more, and then more. More is good, right? Sleep is overrated so we might as well cart our fleshy vessels around this continent a few more times this year."
While you wait for Child Bite to pillage your city, let bassist Sean Clancy teach you how to play "Video Blood," from the band's recently-issued "Negative Noise" full-length. More...
King Parrot Announces Tour With Voivod
Australia's King Parrot will return to North America next month supporting Voivod on a month-long live takeover. The band's latest infiltration will commence on May 19th in Dallas, Texas and run through June 26th in Quebec City.
Additional support will be provided by labelmates, Child Bite. King Parrot will also play a host of one off shows with Child Bite and Psycroptic on select dates. See all confirmed dates below.
Comments vocalist Matt Young: "It's been a busy year for King Parrot so far and we're excited to be coming back to North America for what is shaping up to be a massive tour with metal legends Voivod and our dear friends and fellow nutters, Child Bite. I love what this tour package offers: it's one of the most diverse lineups I've seen in recent times, and I know all three bands are in great form right now.
"We are currently touring in Australia, and previous to that we just got back from Europe with Soulfly where we performed thirty-six shows over six weeks in eighteen countries. Obviously we love being out on the road and when the opportunity to tour with childhood hero's Voivod came about, then we couldn't pass it up. We're looking forward to seeing all our friends out on the road in the US and Canada real soon!" More...
