SOS Celebrating 20 Years
New York City's heavy-hitting groove quartet SOS is celebrating twenty raging years together as a band in 2015, and is currently booking shows across the city throughout June in celebration of crushing right through the two decade mark.
Following the release of fifth full-length, "Strength And Conditioning," SOS performed on the street at the massive NYC Marathon for the fifteenth consecutive year, amidst a widespread rash of other performances.
Continuing the live mayhem, the band will play home turf on Friday, June 5th with Warrior Soul and a host of other support acts, followed by a free, all-ages, outdoor matinee show at Tompkins Square Park on June 13th with an assortment of friend acts.
June 21st will see SOS hammering Astoria Skate Park in Queens with another all-ages, outdoor matinee show. Stand by for additional live shows to be confirmed through the Summer months.
Issues the band: "The weather's getting nicer and SOS is stoked to celebrate twenty years of heavy grooves! What better way than with a bunch of kick ass shows with our musical brethren? See ya in June!"

SOS Streaming Full New Album
As NYC-based heavy punk/hardcore hybrid SOS comes within one week of releasing a fifth independent full-length, today Stereokiller is streaming the entire "Strength And Conditioning" album. Listen in at this location. The following press release was issued about the band:
"SOS is a fusion of heavy sounds; a maniacal musical beast which flails madly yet seamlessly in all directions at once. Strength And Conditioning is a nearly forty-eight minute excursion into barrier-free musical chaos with heavy melodic grooves, recorded and mixed by Travis Harrison at Serious Business Studios, mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music.
"Lineup changes and a restructuring of the band followed by heavy-duty local performances for the past year formed a six-year gap between albums, but the band's heavy dedication has paid off, as Strength And Conditioning boasts SOS' most action-packed mayhem yet."
This Saturday, July 26th, SOS will play a record release show in the band's hometown of Queens, New York, opening for Downset. Just three days later, SOS will release "Strength And Conditioning" via digital download and on CD, as always through 316 Productions.

SOS Posts "None More Black"
American Aftermath is currently ripping up a new track from the approaching fifth independent album from NYC-based SOS, "Strength And Conditioning."
The band displays the darker and depraved side of its hybrid of heaviness on "None More Black," the fourth of the vast fourteen tracks from "Strength And Conditioning." Check it out below.
"This song hurts to play," states founding vocalist/guitarist, Mike SOS, who whimsically describes the tune as a "balls to the wall blackened beast that goes to eleven."
You can also hear the previously released track "Run It Down Into The Ground" at this location. On July 26th, SOS will join several other openers supporting Downset in Queens, which is also the record release show for "Strength And Conditioning."
