Disparager Issues Remixed, A Capella "Pictures"
Disparager will kick off the "Sayonara Summer Tour" beginning tomorrow October 3rd in Brooklyn, NY with a special show alongside 36 Crazyfists. In conjunction with the tour starting, Disparager has teamed up with Metal Sucks for an exclusive premiere of the remixed, acapella version of their song "Pictures (REMIX)." Check out the exclusive premiere over at this location, or simply stay right here and check it out at the bottom of this article.
On releasing "Pictures (REMIX)," AhKao says, "The EP version of 'Pictures' is pretty much a blaster with loud drums, heavy bass and guitar distortion, odd time signatures, and screams. So it was crazy fun to do a stripped down, nearly-entirely a cappella version. I think like it really brings out the chord qualities and gives the lyrics new emotional depth. Also, we're hoping the track will draw attention to our upcoming tour. The bookers, clubs, and other bands have been working hard to make this happen for us, and the Disparager boys and I are truly grateful."
Following tomorrow's show, Disparager will play shows alongside Genosha, Your Chance to Die, and Set and Setting. The tour runs through October 19th in Atlanta, GA. The full itinerary can be seen below.
After a line up change and nearly three years of blood, sweat, and tears, Disparager is as brutal and hypnotic as metal can be. The band has always been an extension of frontman Chris AhKao regaining his life from personal demons, but the guys' live set has become unreal. Witness some of the darkest, most soul crushing, punishing vortex of anguish humankind is capable of... when you catch Desparager on tour... if you dare.
Recorded with producer Jay Maas (Defeater, Bane, H2O, American Nightmare, Polar Bear Club), Timeless, Ageless is bursting with dense rawness and precision while pushing the boundaries of metal with tracks like "At Least I Still Have Bon Iver" - half folk song, half crushing mix of Isis and Slayer - and "Pictures" - a time signature mindfuck the band is proud NOT to call prog rock.

Disparager Posts Lyric Video
Brooklyn, NY's post metal band Disparager has unleashed a new lyric video via Blank TV for the track "RIP Bill Hicks," taken off the recently released debut EP "Timeless, Ageless." Vocalist / guitarist Chris Ahkoa comments:
"R.I.P. Bill Hicks is about letting go of something that is wrong for you, even if the act of letting go, the decision to let go, and everything leading up to that decision is hard. Comfort and familiarity are nice, but allowing those feelings to steer your life treads dangerously close to living in fear. Our days are precious and few and we must decide what is worth our time."
In additional news, Disparager will be opening support for hardcore aggressors Sworn Enemy on July 12th in NYC at Blackthorn 51 alongside Thorn Constellatin, Fate Breaks Dawn, Mala Entrana, Apparition, Halo To Havoc and Risers. More...
Disparager Posts "Gratitude" Video
Brooklyn, NY's Disparager has teamed up with Blank TV for the premiere of new acoustic video "Gratitude," the third track off recently released debut EP "Timeless, Ageless," which was produced by Jay Maas (Defeater, Bane, H2O, American Nightmare, Polar Bear Club).
Vocalist / guitarist Chris Ahkao comments: "A handful of Disparager songs stemmed from me playing acoustic guitar and grew from there, and acoustic playing is extremely intimate. It's just you, and a block of wood, no distortion or drums or density of metal orchestration, and the end result is that uniquely human element that you bring to the table. Plus, I love screaming over acoustic guitar, it always gets heads to turn and there's this stupid yet special "shock value" factor to its naked abrasiveness." More...
