Ancient Altar Posts "Dead Earth" Album
Los Angeles-based, post-apocalyptic sludge outfit Ancient Altar has released sinister sophomore album, "Dead Earth," today via Black Voodoo Records.
The album depicts the end of humanity at the hands of vile and corrupt politics (well-timed, given the current state of affairs) and the necessary destruction of Earth while a lucky few escape to rebuild on a distant planet.
A cassette version will be released later via Midnite Collective, and more U.S. tour announcements will follow, but for now, buckle in and give this one a spin below. The track listing is:

Ancient Altar Streams New Song "Void"
Los Angeles post-apocalyptic sludge outfit Ancient Altar will release sophomore album, "Dead Earth," on September 1 via Black Voodoo Records initially as an LP, with a cassette version to follow through Midnite Collective.
The band will also do a quick run of tour dates that kicked off last night Salt Lake City, with a bigger tour in the fall which will be announced soon.

Ancient Altar Streaming Album's Title Track
Los Angeles-based post-apocalyptic sludge outfit Ancient Altar released a self-titled debut last year and the outfit isn't slowing down.
Ancient Altar just announced sophomore album "Dead Earth" will see the light of day this coming September 1st on LP via Black Voodoo Records, with a cassette version to follow through Midnite Collective.
The band will also do a quick run of tour dates in August, and a bigger tour in the fall which will be announced soon. In the mean time, check out the title track below. The full track listing is:

Ancient Altar Releases New Video

Hailing from Los Angeles, the land of the unrelenting sun, Ancient Altar bring an arcane philosophy and a stripped down approach to a bristling and brutal brand of heavy rock. Formed in late 2013, the band features bassist Scott Carlson and guitar player Barry Kavener splitting vocal duties, along with guitar player Jesse Boldt and drummer Tom Oz, who together have birthed a slow burning doom/sludge combo.
Fresh off a Spring mini-tour of Central/Northern California with plans for a full West Coast tour in August, Ancient Altar is currently preparing a scorching four-track debut release, recorded and engineered by Etay Levy, with additional recording and mixing by Gary Griffth (Morgion), and mastering by James Plotkin (O.L.D., Khanate, Jodis).

Midnite Collective has announced the release of Ancient Altar's debut album, "Ancient Altar," which will be ready to infect the masses July 15th in both digital and cassette formats. The label comments:
