He Whose Ox Is Gored Announces "Paralyzer"
Ethereal sludge unit He Whose Ox Is Gored will unleash the brand new "Paralyzer" seven-inch this weekend via Chain Letter Collective and the band's own label Void Assault Records.
Captured by producer Jack Endino (Soundgarden, Nirvana, L7, High On Fire, Zeke etc.) at Avast! Recording Studio, "Paralyzer" was recorded as part of a Converse Rubber Tracks session and includes two previously released tracks -- "Buried Twice" and "Void Assault" from the band's "Rumors" EP -- remixed by the band's cohorts in Seattle's Newaxeyes.
"The 'Paralyzer' seven-inch started as a great opportunity presented to us by Converse Rubber Tracks and Jack Endino," He Whose Ox Is Gored comments. "We also wanted to find a way to work with our friends in Newaxeyes and a seven-inch came to mind. When Ben and Heather Heywood of Los Angeles' Chain Letter Collective came on board, it created an opportunity for us to bring it all together."
"Paralyzer" will see official release on June 16th but will be available this Sunday, May 14th at the band's special show with Conan, North, and Serial Hawk at Highline in Seattle as part of the venue's seven-year anniversary series. The seven-inch will also be available throughout He Whose Ox Is Gored's U.S. tour with Samothrace from May 17th through June 10th.

Samothrace Announces U.S. Tour
Seattle doom metal act Samothrace is preparing to embark on a full U.S. tour later this month. Following the trek, the band will focus on the completion of two new recordings, including the third LP.
The tour will begin in Great Falls, Montana on May 17th, after which the caravan will traverse the entire country on a clockwise path through June 15th. The band will be joined by cohorts He Whose Ox Is Gored for the entire tour, with Void Omnia joining for the California dates. The tour also includes sets at several festivals, including Maryland Deathfest, 71 Grind Fest, and Northwest Terror Fest.
Immediately following the tour, Samothrace will spend the next several months completing the writing process and taking on the recording tasks of capturing several upcoming releases, including an impending split LP, as well as the anxiously awaited third studio album. He Whose Ox Is Gored Announces Mini Tour
Ethereal progressive sludge collective He Whose Ox Is Gored will kick off the New Year with a West Coast headlining tour.
The four-date mini excursion will commence on February 16th and make its way through Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Sacramento. Support will be provided by shoe gazing experimentalists Dust Moth, featuring Ryan Frederiksen of These Arms Are Snakes.
"We are covering songs off all four releases, and may have a few surprises in the set as well," issues the band of the upcoming dates. "We can't wait to hit the road with our dear friends in Dust Moth. They are some of the hardest working, best people we know, and we couldn't be more excited to share the stage with them for four nights."

Atmospheric progressive sludge collective He Whose Ox Is Gored will bring audio conjurings to the stage later this month for a run of live rituals with Retox, Silent, and Netherlands (on select dates). The band's latest trek well commence August 30th in Tuscan, Arizona and run through September 16th in Portland, Oregon.
Comments the band of the upcoming journey: "We are excited to announce that we'll not only be expanding dates to the south, east coast and midwest, but that we'll be supporting the awesome Retox and Silent. In just two weeks, atmospheric sludge collective He Whose Ox Is Gored will drop new long player "The Camel, The Lion, The Child" upon the masses. In advance of the record's final descent, today the song "Zelatype" comes online and can be heard below.
"The Camel, The Lion, The Child" will be released digitally and on limited edition vinyl (500 double gatefold LP) via Bleeding Light Records on October 9, 2015 with a CD edition to follow. The album was captured at Red Room and Ex Ex Audio in Seattle by Robert Cheek (Serial Hawk, Noise-A-Tron etc.) with additional recording at Avast Studios with Randall Dunn (Sunn O))), Earth, Wolves In The Throne Room etc.).

"The Camel, The Lion, The Child" is the eight-track, near hour-long sound excursion from Seattle-based progressive doomgaze collective, He Whose Ox Is Gored.
In advance of its official release via Bleeding Light Records on October 9, today the song "Omega" comes online and can be heard below. Elaborates keyboardist/vocalist Lisa Mungo of the hymn:
"'Many heavy things are there for the spirit, the strong load-bearing spirit in which reverence dwelleth: for the heavy and the heaviest longeth its strength.' 'Omega' kicks off the record conceptually, by taking only a few liberties unheard in prior releases. Placed first, her form ties together our past and present works rather effortlessly, and her temperament pays homage to the overall theme."

Seattle's He Whose Ox Is Gored has been raising the brows of the underground masses with an eclectic, oft trance-inducing fusion of doom, prog rock, post hardcore and psychedelic shoegaze. Following the release of the Bleeding Light Records-issued "Rumors" 7" last year, the band will undrape a full-length debut on October 9th.
Titled "The Camel, The Lion, The Child," the eight-track, near hour-long sound exhibition was tracked at Red Room and Ex Ex Audio in Seattle by Robert Cheek with additional recording taking place at Avast Studios with Randall Dunn. Matt Bayles handled mixing duties and frequent collaborator, Blake Bickel, mastered the album at Dynamic Sound Service.
Elaborates guitarist/vocalist Brian McClelland of the band's latest output: "'The Camel, The Lion, The Child' is a cup that runs over. From the writing process and through the studio, we made it a point to make the record that we wanted. He Whose Ox Is Gored Announces U.S. Tour
Fresh off the "Rumors" 7” release last October, the Seattle doomgazers from He Whose Ox Is Gored will embark on a national tour this April, which will include Midwest and East Coast stops for the first time. The tour kicks off in Seattle on April 5th with Witchripper and A God or Another at Narwhal.
The band’s full-length debut "The Camel, The Lion, The Child" is slated for release this Fall on Bleeding Light Records, as well as more new material that will also surface in 2015. See the band live on these dates:
