HI-GH Releasing "Till Death And After"

Metal on Metal Records has announced that HI-GH's "Till Death and After" CD will be out on November 14th. The label comments:

"On their second album these Italian speed metal maniacs still show their enthusiasm and unrestrained energy with some punk influences and attitude. Their style is raw and gritty, but at the same time more than just competent technically, and their classic heavy metal inspirations are even more audible now.

"They also paid tribute to their past, covering 'German Metal Attack,' a song of Hastighed, which was a black/thrash band of the vocalist/bassist Tommaso "Slowly" before he formed HI-GH. According to the label, old school metalheads, and especially fans of Motorhead, Exciter, Judas Priest, early Metallica, early Slayer, Tank, Inepsy, Midnight, and G.B.H. are in for a real treat here."

HI-GH Signs New Record Deal

Metal On Metal Records has inked a deal with HI-GH, a young speed/thrash metal band which was formed in Rome in 2012. The band has previously released the "Loud Frequences on Planet Jupiter" EP (2012) and full-length album "Night Dances" (2013). The label commented:

"These Italian maniacs convinced us not only with their music but also with their attitude, full of enthusiasm and dedication. We haven't seen their show personally yet (only the live clips that are on YouTube), but we have met a few times, once at their rehearsal. The feeling was just right, about everything. As far as their style goes, it could be best described as furious, relentless speed/thrash metal with punk influences, and spiced up from time to time with '60s and '70s space rock/psychedelia, so you could call them a crossover band in a way.

"Their music is raw and gritty but also more than just competent technically... the melodic and flashy solos are the best proof. It's totally old school, but at the same time sounds fresh and definitely very personal, a true joy to listen to. Imagine an explosive mixture of Motorhead, Venom, 'Kill'Em All' era Metallica, 'Show No Mercy' era Slayer (especially when it comes to the vocals), Inepsy, Tank, Exciter, Blessed Death, G.B.H., D.R.I. and Hawkwind.. Actually, don't imagine. Just listen to the full 'Night Dances' album that the band put on their YouTube channel, and see (hear) for yourself!"

HI-GH is currently working on the songs for a second album, which the band plans to record in April. "Till Death and After" is scheduled for a release this July. More...
