Pelgrim Posts "Demagogue" Video
Tilburg's Pelgrim is back and heavier than ever with a new album, "Ephemera," set to arrive on February 13th. Today the band has chosen to unveil a first single from the new effort, titled "Demagogue." Check out the video clip below.
The band has chosen to celebrate the new album's arrival by announcing a hometown show alongside heavy brethren Textures set to take place on the release date, February 13th. You can buy tickets to the record release show here.
Pelgrim Checks In With 2014 Recap
Pelgrim has checked in with the following year-end band recap:
"2014 is coming to an end and what a year it was. We’re incredibly proud we did our very first European tour. We met countless of awesome people and made friends for life. 2014 was also the year we wrote and started recording our debut album and lost Pim and gained Kevin as a Pelgrim band member.
"Also a HUGE thank you to everyone who helped us out last year. Whether it be by fixing our van, booking, helping at the merch stand or just by coming to our shows and having a good time with us.
"2015 will be a whole new roller coaster with our debut album, a lot of shows, tours and other fun stuff coming up. We'll keep you posted on that.

Pelgrim Recruits New Guitarist
Pelgrim split with guitar player Pim Goossens during the Summer, and now the band has issued the following brief announcement about bringing on a replacement member:
"Awesome news! We're happy to announce that we finally found a new Pelgrim member and brother: Kevin 'Bacon' van der Ven.
"Kevin will replace Pim as our full time guitarist. We are really excited about this and can't wait to get the Pelgrim choo-choo-steam-train back on track. Let's bring the mayhem again!" More...
Pelgrim Splits With Guitarist
Pelgrim guitarist Pim Goossens has issued the following announcement online about parting ways with the band:
'Hello everyone, I’m sad to inform you that I am quitting Pelgrim. In the coming months I will be starting a master’s programme and although I would love to do both this and play in the most kickass band in the universe ever, I know that both would suffer.
"This would be unacceptable to me and more importantly it would be unfair to my bestest of buddies, who are gay for robots, but I don’t judge. I have been making music with some of these nerds for almost ten years, Wouter Zaman and Koen Scheepens, and in the last years I have also had the pleasure to see Rik Torremans and Django van Loon join our merry band of band buddies. They are all my best friends, truly, and I hope they will grow so much more with a new guitar player (who should not be gay for robots, someone has to be the normal one..).
"In short: this sucks, shmurr, had to be done, murp, all the best, bliep, being in bands is for noobs, huurrdiedurr. Also, be gentle to the robots. They have feelings, you know.'
The Dutch band adds: "This surely is a major disappointment for us, since Pim is a long time member and friend. We love you Pim ‘njek-njek-sjmurdiebur’ Goossens and wish you all the best. Pelgrim Posts Album Teaser
Dutch band Pelgrim is recording a full-length album to follow a previously released self-titled EP. The group has now checked in with the following update:
"We're currently working on our debut album. Here's a preview of some twin solo madness. This album is gonna be heavy AND technical. We'll keep you posted. Enjoy!"

Pelgrim has posted a new lyric video online, which can be viewed below, and the band also comments:

"Pelgrim is a progressive metalcore band from the Netherlands, combining earth shattering screams, compelling rhythms and virtuoso guitar stylings to devastating effect.
