Jungle Rot Announces European Tour Dates
Ferocious American metal pioneers Jungle Rot have announced headlining dates for their return to European shores this spring.
“Finally, the wheels are in motion and we return to Europe for the first time in five years with the 2019 Send Forth Oblivion Tour Part 1!” exudes Jungle Rot warlord Dave Matrise. “We are ready to get back and smash audiences with our style of old school metal to all the head-banging lunatics of Europe. We will also be returning to Europe in the summer for the Send Forth Oblivion Tour Part 2 with confirmed appearances at the Brutal Assault and Stonehenge Festivals, with more dates coming soon. The wait is over, the time is near and 2019 is going to be a hell of a year!”
Italian thrashers Ultra-Violence will join Jungle Rot as the Wisconsin troop support their latest self-titled LP, released this past July.
The tour dates are as follows: More...
Jungle Rot Premiere New Song & Music Video

Jungle Rot‘s new music video for their track “Send Forth Oblivion” has received its online debut streaming below. The track appears on the group’s self-titled new album, which will see a release today, July 20th. Comments guitarist Geoff Bub: “The experiments they did prevented them from eliminating us. Operation Oblivion could be their own demise!”.
Adds frontman/guitarist Dave Matrise: "the song expresses what these surviving soldiers are thinking as they ponder what’s become of humanity. Greed and power has brought the downfall of society. Is there any hope?”
Next week Jungle Rot will join up with Havok and Extinction A.D. on this summer tour: More...

Jungle Rot Premiere New Music Video “Fearmonger”

Jungle Rot‘s tenth studio album will be out in stores on July 20th via Victory Records. The self-titled effort was recorded this past January at Belle City Sound with engineer Chris Djuricic. Dan Swanö (Dark Funeral, Marduk) helmed the mixing and mastering duties. Below you can stream a video for the new single, “Fearmonger“, which features a guest turn from Destruction's Marcel “Schmier” Schirmer.
Comments Jungle Rot vocalist/guitarist Dave Matrise of that:
“We covered the Destruction classic ‘Invincible Force’ some years ago and Schmier told me ours is his favorite Destruction cover he has ever heard from any band. Years later we toured together and right away Schmier approached me to start singing the song with him in concert. His trademark style and my vocals worked so well together that when I began writing this new record, the idea immediately came up to have him as a guest vocalist. He loved it and was honored to be a part of it. That’s how we created ‘Fearmonger.'”

Jungle Rot Posts "Doomsday" Video
Jungle Rot today brings you a new video for "Doomsday," available below. “To me, the video is essentially about paranoia,” states Jungle Rot bassist James Genenz.
He goes on to say, “The protagonist is more than likely a paranoid conspiracy theorist, who probably isn't all that wrong with his theories, but is driven mad because of them. The live shots of us playing under targets are like his delusions, envisioning an attack on a small populace of citizens and we are his weapon. Eventually, he cannot handle the prophetic visions and blinds himself to it.”
With the recent announcement of the Metal Alliance Tour, you can catch Jungle Rot in a city near you. Full dates are available here.
"We're definitely looking forward to getting back on the road!” continues Genenz. “It's been a few months since we've been out and we are excited to perform for our fans again alongside our tour mates. We have a long history with Dying Fetus going as far back as the demo days, and our former drummer Jesse plays for Black Crown Initiate, so this will be one big, fun road reunion!" More...

Jungle Rot Covers Hallows Eve
The natives are restless... for more Jungle Rot! The quartet makes its Decibel Magazine Flexi Series debut in the November issue with "Speed Freak," Jungle Rot's take on the 1988 Hallows Eve classic.
"We figured if anyone was gonna cover Hallows Eve, it would be a song from their first two albums," says bassist James Genenz. "But we chose to go with something from their third album, 'Monument,' as it's usually overlooked."
David Matrise (vocals/guitar) comments on the track, “’Speed Freak’ was the song that I would play over and over again and again in my first car going to school. It’s the song we always played hanging with my buddies years ago driving to party's and fucking shit up!” More...
Jungle Rot Vocalist Slams Slayer's Kerry King
Last week Slayer's Kerry King criticized this year's edition of Mayhem in an interview, saying: "Do I know this tour wasn't booked correctly? Absolutely I know this tour wasn't booked correctly. Gary Holt made the comment that usually there's the main Stage, a second stage, a third stage, and then that piece-of-shit record stage… Now what they're calling a second stage is at best a fourth stage and they're wondering why people aren't showing up."
King’s "piece-of-shit record stage" comment obviously is not going over too well with the Victory Records bands (Jungle Rot, Kissing Candice and Sister Sin) playing the stage.
Responds Vocalist Dave Matrise of death metal veterans Jungle Rot:
"I’m gonna be truthful - I take it very personal. I’m a longtime Slayer fan, and I hate to say it, but now I’m gonna change my thoughts about Slayer over this. It’s because of the simple fact that there’s a lot of people, including myself, and a lot of bands here that have a lot of money invested in this tour, and we’re trying to make our money back, and we’re trying to keep this thing rolling. And here’s this guy, and he opens his mouth and sabotages the tour, in my opinion. And then he talks shit about Victory (Records) and that’s our label as well, and calls it a 'shit stage.'
"Well, if it wasn’t for Victory probably getting this stage, this tour would’ve never even happened. That’s just my opinion, and if he would get off the bus once in a while instead of charging $20 for a picture or a signing or whatever the hell he does, he’d probably see that there’s some really good talent out there, man. So yeah, I take it very personal, I think he stuck his foot in his mouth and I hope this turns on him and I hope for the worst. I have had enough, the guy’s been runnin’ his mouth enough and this is the final draw." More...
