Darkyra Signs With Sliptrick Records

Australian symphonic hard rock act Darkyra signed on with Sliptrck Records. A new album concept is on the horizon which will be entitled "Against all Odds." More information on the album is expected soon.

After the successful release of two high quality production studio albums under the moniker Darkyra Black (a solo project of vocalist Gina Bafile), the band was thrown into the spotlight as a strong emerging artist within the world of metal and rock, fueling the desire of a talented singer to take the music on the road.

In 2015, the focus was to project the brand as a complete band which led to the recent name adjustment from Darkyra Black to Darkyra and with the new found Australian members the transition from solo artist to a working band was complete.

Darkyra Announces New Tour Dates

Australian symphonic metal band Darkyra will play for the first time live in Europe, announcing a headline tour in April 2016 through the Netherlands and Germany. The following dates have been confirmed:

Darkyra Releases New Music Video

Darkyra has posted a new music video online for debut single "Tears by Candlelight." Check it out below.

The song was written by Darkyra Black, produced and mastered by George Boussounis, and engineered by Garry King. This video was written, produced, and directed by Steve Browne.

Darkyra Posts Teaser For New Album

Darkyra (not to be confused with the similarly named Greek band Dakrya) is a new metal act consisting of singer Darkyra Black and four members of power metal outfit Achillea (Garry King - Drums, Fabinho Jablonski - Keyboards, Betovani Dinelli - Bass, and Paul Jupe - Guitar). The band commented on its sound:

"The music is a fine blend of symphonic metal, epic metal, and progressive rock, incorporating elements from Japanese traditional pentatonic music, with an intense cinematic overall feeling. The oriental inspired debut album 'Dragon Tears' is expected to be released early 2013."
