Nashville has a lot of homeless people. That’s an understatement. Nashville has a massive amount of homeless, displaced, and destitute folks living out in the streets. Regardless of what your particular beliefs are about these people, they are real, they are there, and they are hungry. In a solid underdog move in the cold of February, the heavy metal genre found a way to do something about feeding these fellow human beings by pairing up for a show to benefit an organization that does just that – The Bridge Bunch.
Part of Christian Pastor Bob Beeman’s “Sanctuary International – The Rock N’ Roll Refuge,” The Bridge Bunch claims to serve about 4,500 meals per month to these folks under the Jefferson Street Bridge in downtown Nashville, TN. On the night of February 15th, the titans of progressive power metal in Theocracy headlined a bill backed by Illinois-based Innersiege and Nashville’s own Oblivion Myth in support of The Bridge Bunch’s efforts. With the country-fied Kid Rock playing a show in town that night, as well as Lindsey Stirling, the dancing-violinist-turned-YouTube-sensation from America’s Got Talent, the heavy metal fundraiser served as a nice counterpoint.
It was to be a night to remember for those in attendance, as Theocracy had announced prior to the show that they were going to play their entire latest album, “As the World Bleeds,” in its entirety at this show, along with another to-be-experienced-live surprise. Along with Innersiege following suit in deciding to play their entire “Kingdom of Shadows” album, Theocracy held the final surprise ace – they would play the entire 24-minute “Mirror of Souls” song and “Absolution Day” as well. Moreover, it would be broadcast on a UStream feed for the rest of the online world. More...
Theocracy is happy to announce plans to play the entire "As the World Bleeds" album on February 15th, 2013 at the "Sanctuary From the Streets" fundraiser in Nashville, TN. Vocalist Matt Smith explains:
"We kicked around the idea of trying to make this happen a few months ago, because we always loved the idea. A lot of people seemed as excited about it as we were, so it just became a matter of trying to find the right place and time to make it happen. Once the 'Sanctuary From the Streets' idea was presented to us and started taking shape, it seemed like the perfect time. We are all honored to be asked to participate in something for such a great cause, and hopefully this will help make a night that already promises to be very special even more special.
"We will be performing As the World Bleeds front to back in its entirety, and we have another surprise or two up our sleeves as well that you will NOT want to miss. Who knows if or when this will ever happen again, so if there was ever a show worth roadtripping to, this is it! We can't wait to share the stage with InnerSiege and Oblivion Myth and enjoy a great night of music for a wonderful cause."

Roxx Productions has issued the following announcement about InnerSiege releasing the "Kingdom of Shadows" album this coming December:
"Inner Siege is America’s answer to the European Power Metal scene and this band is poised and ready to take the metal world by storm! Hailing from Peoria Illinois, Inner Siege is proud to announce they have inked a deal with Los Angeles based Roxx Records to release their debut full length CD.
"Inner Siege are proud to wear that Euro influenced Power Metal title on their sleeve citing such bands as Firewind, Kamelot, Dream Evil and Iron Maiden as some of their influences. Be prepared because once the world hears their debut release it’s easy to see they fit right in to that mold. Entitled ‘Kingdom of Shadows’ the band's debut is a concept album like no other, comparisons are already being made to such landmark conceptual albums as Operation Mindcrime by Queensryche. But they are no copy cats, as familiar as their sound may be this album is prepared to take the listener to a new level and on a whole new journey of the mind.
"To insure their debut album hits hard and leaves an everlasting impression on the world the band has enlisted some key forces in the Power Metal community to bring this release to life. Brought in to the project to mix and master the new release was none other than Fredrik Nordstrom of Dream Evil, who has also worked with such acts as In Flames, Opeth and Dimmu Borgir just to name a few. Also recruited to bring ‘Kingdom of Shadows’ to life through the brilliant cover artwork was multi-talented Brazilian/Potuguese graphic designer Gustavo Sazes who has done artwork for many artists through the years including the likes of such fine artists as Firewind, Kamelot, Dream Evil and even Arch Enemy.
"So be prepared to enter the ‘Kingdom of Shadows’ as we unleash upon the world the debut album from… Inner Siege! Set for release on December 11, 2012 pre-order packages are now available and going quickly!" More...
