Start A Fire Checks In With Studio Update

Start a Fire is currently recording a new EP, and the band has now checked in from the studio with the following update:

"There was me, that is Christian, and my three droogs, that is Amandus, Georgie, and Dim, and we sat in the Korova Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence.

"The hard knocks on my bedroom door woke me up from my dreams and a thundering voice hauled me out of my bed like a fresh caught mackerel. 'We leave in 30 minutes!' I leaped out of my bed and into a pair of jeans ready to start day 2 in the studio. And through the morning mist we headed for Kinna.

"About an hour later I found myself sipping a cup of coffee while Amandus finished the drums to the last 2 songs. Now our destiny and mixing is resting on the skilled shoulders of Christian at Studio Haga. Time for a weekend break and back into the studio on Monday to start working on guitars and bass. You know you're a cut little heart-breaker..... Foxy....."

Start A Fire Issues Recording Update

Start a Fire has checked in with the following update about the recording process for a new EP:

"Somewhere in a galaxy not to far from the guy you know across the street....... Today Amandus, Alex and Robin took the bandmobile towards the misty hills of Kinna and Studio Haga. Several hours and a lot of duct tape later the drums were finally ready to start the recording.

"Around 9pm the cell woke me up from my nail-biting impatience: '2 songs are done!' stated the voice of a satisfied drummer. 'Amandus?' I cried out. 'Thou shalt cometh with me the day after today!' grunted the voice, and before I knew it I had agreed to follow him wherever he wanted to go and the voice was silent. Can I play with madness?"

Start A Fire Issues EP Update

Start a Fire has checked in with the following update about working on songs to appear on an new EP:

"Road to Perfection..... A long and uphill road indeed, but the many hours of working with the songs are starting to pay off. In fact we have decided to add a 4th song to the new EP, a really powerful-old-school-gothenburg kind of tune, that we hope we'll manage to perfect in the 2 weeks remaining before recording!

"The many hours we've been working on the songs has also brought us closer as a band, not only working the songs but also how to promote Start a Fire and because we are so goddamn good-looking and generous we've decided to show up at various gigs in Gothenburg and hand out one of our EPs to the people attending!

"There will be a realease-party when the new EP's finished and further information about the location, tickets and supportbands will show up in this blog. As things look right now it will be in February.

"Pour some sugar on me!"
