Necrophagia Begins Work On New Album

NECROPHAGIA has recently finished the song writing for their new album "Deathtrip 69." Here's the latest update from the band, "The new material sounds like it should have chronologically followed 'Season of the Dead' Consisting of very dark and heavy riffs interwoven with audio horror and inhuman vocals . Killjoy is full of praises for the new line up and says that although it's been a very long time since the band has been active it's the beginning of a rollercoater ride into horror hell! Inspiration is at an all time peak and having known guitarist Boris Randall for over 20's years makes things alot easier when it comes song writing because we are always thinking in the same direction musically."

"Another element brought back to Necrophagia is lead guitar passages courtesy of Randall. Songs definately set to appear are as follows 'Beast with Feral Claws,' 'Suffering Comes in Sixes,' 'Naturan Demonto,' 'Reborn through Black Mass,' 'A Funeral for Solange' and 'Tomb with a View.' Necrophagia will mark their return on June 26th 2010 headling the Firewalk Metal Meltdown Festival in Milwaukee. Next up 'Deathtrip 69' this Fall along with a U.S/Canadian tour with THE MOST legendary black metal band from Norway (bands and dates will be announced very shortly) A demo version of 'Beast with Feral Claws' will be world premiered on the Necrophagia MySpace Page Saturday April 24th 2010."

Necrophagia Vocalist Guests On Bone Gnawer Album

NECROPHAGIA vocalist Killjoy has contributed vocals to the new Bone Gnawer track "Defleshed and Skinned."

Kam Lee comments: "It's a great - great honor to have the legandary Killjoy join in on vocals on this track... and his added vile vocal sickness only ads yet another level of pure sheer terror and horror to an already brutal song!

"It's been a fantastic and great honor to have all of these 'special guest vocalist' join in on us in BONE GNAWER songs - and this is a tradition we wish to continue with on each and every release we do in the future - to have 'special guest musicians' join in with us on the horror and terror that is BONE GNAWER!

"That's right freaks - the fantastic Spanish Master of Murder DOPI - from the killer kick ass old school style grind-core/death band MACHETAZO will be doing a 'special guest vocal appearence' on the BONE GNAWER track 'HAMMER TO THE SKULL' - and there couldn't be a better track for this insane brother of evil to appear on!

"Nothing but pure hellish angry vocals is just what we needed for this track - and DOPI is more then eager to supply a grand dose of pure hostile hatred for it! We look forward to having our brother DOPI on this track with us - and we hope you fans will enjoy this as well. If your still not familiar with the great MACHETAZO - you need to be! Their new album - MUNDO CRIPTA is a masterpiece of pure old school style grind-core/death metal - the way it was meant to be played!

"We wish to thank - Killjoy of NECROPHAGIA, as well as Dopi of MACHETAZO, and Stevo of IMPETIGO for their participation in joining us on the: FEAST OF FLESH!"

Opal Enthroned Rejoins Necrophagia

Opal Enthroned has rejoined Necrophagia on March 5th 2008. Opal was a member of the band during the period when Philip Anselmo was playing guitar for Necrophagia. She made her Necro debut on the "Cannibal Holocaust" EP in 2001. Opal has also worked with Killjoy and Anselmo in the now defunct raw black metal project Viking Crown.

Killjoy and Opal have both stated that the new alliance is extremely inspiring and will see them focusing on some very, very horror-filled and even creepier tunes for Necrophagia, as well as two other projects that will be launched at a later date. Opal stated that her main focus is now on Necrophagia's upcoming and much delayed "Deathtrip 69."

Dead To This World Choose Producer

Norwegian producer Bjørnar E Nielsen is to produce the new album from Black Metallers DEAD TO THIS WORLD. The album will be recorded at Nielsen’s Conclave Media Studios in Bergen.

Nielsen, who has produced albums by bands such as HELHEIM, SULPHUR, DEATHCON, AMPERA and VULTURE INDUSTRIES (of whom he is also a member), is currently building a new studio together with ENSLAVED members Herbrand Larsen and Arve Isdal. He is also working on material for a new album for his own band, BLACK HOLE GENERATOR.

DEAD TO THIS WORLD was originally founded by Iscariah (NECROPHAGIA, ex-IMMORTAL) as a solo project, but was expanded to a full line-up, releasing a three-track demo in 2005. Following the departure of their drummer, Iscariah recently announced that former GORGOROTH member Kvitrafn (SIGFADER, WARDRUNA, JOTUNSPOR, ex SAHG) would be joining the band to record the new album. Tracks from the original demo can be heard on the band’s MySpace page.
