Victory Records Announces 2013 Releases
Victory Records has checked in with the following statement about upcoming releases in the new year:

Close Your Eyes Joining Scream The Prayer Tour
Texas-based, melodic hardcore group Close Your Eyes will be joining one of the most well known Christian tours to pop up in the last few years. Scream the Prayer, going on its fifth year, starts its 19 city run on June 22nd in Nashville, TN. Close Your Eyes will be sharing the stage with bands like Demon Hunter (select dates), Emery, Sleeping Giant and many more.
Close Your Eyes from Abilene, TX will be debuting the band's new lineup on the Scream the Prayer tour. Founding members Brett Callaway - lead guitar/vocals and Sonny Vega – bassist, will welcome back Andrew Rodriguez on rhythm guitar. Rodriguez, who has been an active member in Close Your Eyes for many years, is currently enrolled in school working towards his degree. He is putting his books aside this summer to join the band on stage. The band is also welcoming the two new additions: vocalist Mikey Sawyer and Jordan Vesey on drums.

Victory Records Streaming Free 20 Song Sampler

Eths Comes To The Rock Band Network
The pickings are quite slim again for new metal music this week on the Rock Band Network, but there is a good quality extreme metal track from rising French stars Eths.
The band will finally be releasing new album "III" (reviewed here) in North America early next month, but fans who haven't gotten a chance to hear the album yet can get an advance preview with the newly added song "Gravis Venter." The following two metal tracks are now available on the Xbox 360 version of the game:
ETHS - "Gravis Venter" (160 MSP)
Skylliton – “Crabplosion” (80 MSP)
PS3 players will instead get the following tracks on Tuesday, May 15th:

Scream The Prayer 2012 Tour Dates Announced
Ain't No Grave Records is proud to announce that two of the label's recording artists will be appearing on this year's "Scream The Prayer" Tour. Sleeping Giant and The Great Commission will join Demon Hunter (on select dates), Emery, MyChildren MyBride, Close Your Eyes, Hundredth, Gideon, A Bullet For Pretty Boy, and Your Memorial. Close Your Eyes To Play Bamboozle
Close Your Eyes is set to play this year's Bamboozle on May 19th. Guitarist/vocalist Brett Callaway made a special video regarding the Bamboozle announcement for fans which you can watch via Facebook right here. The band has also released the music video for "Erie" which you can watch below.
Comeback Kid Announces U.S. Tour
Hardcore group Comeback Kid is set to embark on a headlining U.S. tour with a line-up that includes support from labelmates Close Your Eyes, along with Foundation, Such Gold, and Living With Lions.
Comeback Kid frontman Andrew Neufeld expresses his enthusiasm for the line-up, “We really enjoy playing with all different kinds of bands and mixing up bills. This tour is a great example of that.“ Neufeld goes on to say, “This tour covers the majority of the U.S. and we’re psyched to finally do a headlining tour in the U.S. for Symptoms + Cures.”

Close Your Eyes Posts "Keep The Lights On" Clip
Christian metalcore act Close Your Eyes has released a new music video for “Keep The Lights On” that comes off of the band's latest effort, "Empty Hands and Heavy Hearts."
Vocalist Shane Raymond said of the video, “I wrote that song knowing I was being in this place of everything that I despised, and running away from all of the things I know that I should be… and to ‘keep the lights on,’ because I know there’s still hope.”

Scream The Prayer 2011 Kicks Off in TN
Scream The Prayer is a touring metal and hardcore festival of sorts, already in its fourth year, that packs the stage with bands that specialize in redefining what counts as a Christian worship service. The bands associated with the tour this year are as follows: Norma Jean, Sleeping Giant, The Chariot, War of Ages, Close Your Eyes, Texas In July, I The Breather, The Great Commission, As Hell Retreats, and Sovereign Strength. From beginning to end, each band worked towards bringing the word of God to the masses in the form of relentless heavy metal.

Regardless of your stance on religion, you have to commend these bands for their drive. On July 1st, I was on hand to catch the first date of this 2011 tour. More...
Scream The Prayer Dates Announced
The line-up for the fourth annual Scream The Prayer tour features Norma Jean headlining alongside Sleeping Giant, The Chariot, War of Ages, Close Your Eyes, Texas In July, I The Breather, The Great Commission, Sovereign Strength, and As Hell Retreats. Atlanta progressive metalcore outfit Norma Jean has been revealed as the headline act on the forthcoming 2011 "Scream the Prayer" tour.
