Christian metalcore band Sovereign Strength posted a new music video for the song "More to Life." The song appears on the band's latest album "The Prohpecy," which was issued through Mediaskare Records this past July.

Sovereign Strength Reportedly Calling It Quits

Lambgoat.com is reporting that Sovereign Strength, which took part in the "Scream the Prayer" tour earlier this year, is calling it quits. Lambgoat stated:

Palmdale, Calfornia hardcore/metal band Sovereign Strength (Mediaskare Records) has called it quits after roughly five years together. Although nothing official has been issued thus far, when asked for an explanation, guitarist Jesse Gutierrez said "it's a lot of things. God is taking us in different directions all at once."

Sovereign Strength Streaming New Song

Christian act Sovereign Strength has posted the track “Bring Me Home” (featuring Shane Raymond from Close Your Eyes) online through the band's Facebook page located here. The song comes from the band’s new album "The Prophecy," which is set to hit stores August 2nd through Mediaskare Records.

Scream The Prayer 2011 Kicks Off in TN

Scream The Prayer is a touring metal and hardcore festival of sorts, already in its fourth year, that packs the stage with bands that specialize in redefining what counts as a Christian worship service. The bands associated with the tour this year are as follows: Norma Jean, Sleeping Giant, The Chariot, War of Ages, Close Your Eyes, Texas In July, I The Breather, The Great Commission, As Hell Retreats, and Sovereign Strength. From beginning to end, each band worked towards bringing the word of God to the masses in the form of relentless heavy metal.

Regardless of your stance on religion, you have to commend these bands for their drive. On July 1st, I was on hand to catch the first date of this 2011 tour. More...

Sovereign Strength Posts New Song Online

Christian deathcore act Sovereign Strength has posted a new song online for streaming. The track, titled "Darkest Sin," is taken off of the group's forthcoming album "The Prophecy." The new full length is set to be released on July 19, 2011 trough Mediaskare Records. You can check out the song in the player provided below.

The line-up for the fourth annual Scream The Prayer tour features Norma Jean headlining alongside Sleeping Giant, The Chariot, War of Ages, Close Your Eyes, Texas In July, I The Breather, The Great Commission, Sovereign Strength, and As Hell Retreats.
