SWWAATS Announces New Members
SUCCESS WILL WRITE APOCALYPSE ACROSS THE SKY has announced the addition of drummer Pete Lamb, bassist Matt Simpson and samplist Jen Muse to their full-time lineup. Mike Petrak and Jesse Jolly have decided to pursue their other musical endeavors full time. Guitarist Ian Sturgill comments:
"We greatly appreciate the hard work that Mike and Jesse have done for S.W.W.A.A.T.S. over the past year. S.W.W.A.A.T.S. is now at the point where we will need full time soldiers with no other commitments. Our touring schedule is going to be brutal, and we needed 100% of everyone's time. Pete, Matt and Jen have busted ass to show us that they're in this for the win, have killer chops, and we're very much looking forward to kicking your brains in through your ear holes together. Welcome to the force!"
Mike Heller (MALIGNANCY) has completed drum tracking with producer James Murphy for the full-length debut LP, "The Grand Partition and the Abrogation of Idolatry." Guitar and bass tracking is set to begin in the beginning of July.
The first installment of the S.W.W.A.A.T.S. studio videography should be available next week via grindingtheapparatus.net, metalinjection.net, and YouTube.

SWWAATS New Album Details Revealed
SUCCESS WILL WRITE APOCALYPSE ACROSS THE SKY inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Records in January of 2008 after extensive touring for their debut EP, "Subhuman Empire," available via Debello Recordings. Guitarist Ian Sturgill speaks on what is to be expected of their first full-length LP titled "The Grand Partition and the Abrogation of Idolatry," produced by James Murphy (Testament, Obituary, Disincarnate):
"We have taken great care to make this album as completely pissed-off as humanly possible. This music has become more than what we could have ever hoped it could be. Our EP was recorded roughly 3 weeks after the band's formation; this recording, with more jams under our belt and James at the helm, is to be experienced by the listener as we had always intended. We're here to make Metal fucking scary again. That being said, onto the lyrical content:
"It is our firm belief that the currently accepted beliefs and their subsequent courses of action are instrumental in the tumultuous times in which we are living. The slow hypnosis and systematic retrograde of the general population is coming to a very ugly head. It is only through a radical overhaul in the current human paradigm that we may be able to avoid what very well could result in our self destruction; or at very best, our total enslavement. It is now more important than ever that we observe our history and endeavor to avoid our prior mistakes.
"There is a human tendency to point fingers in times like these. When the human animal observes that which it does not understand or is at odds with, the common reaction is to become the polar opposite of that which it despises; in this Left/Right/Black/White thought and response process, a million possibilities are overlooked and drastic measures find themselves in the place of rational actions. The human animal then seeks to assimilate its enemy. This is a very robotic response, and is unlike the standard fight or flee instincts that are prevalent throughout the animal kingdom.
"To conquer an enemy, it is often wise to divide them among their own ranks... and divide ourselves we do; by border, race, faction, genre, culture, rank, blood and class. But who then indeed, is our enemy?
"The powers of thought, speech and action are grossly underestimated due to the debasement of mankind.
"'The Grand Partition...' is a dire reminder than we are the clearest and most direct danger to ourselves."
Pre-production has been completed for "The Grand Partition and the Abrogation of Idolatry". Drum tracking will begin in June at Hollow Studios in Rockland County, NY.
Gringindtheapparatus.net will be taking video documentation of the recording process will begin in June, and will also be available at YouTube.com/SWWAATSTube; fan submitted live videos of the band can be viewed in the meantime.

Khann Parts Ways With Vocalist Joshua Vitale
Khann (Black Market Activities) has parted ways with vocalist Joshua Vitale as a result of "irreconcilable differences." Vitale has issued the following statement:
"Both the year I spent in Khann and the years with BITGOTA were a great time and a lot of fun. I wish Khann the very best of luck and hope that they find the person with the proper qualifications that they've been seeking. Line-up issues always suck for bands, but I'm very sure that with their talent, success will be knocking at their door very soon. I'm going to take some much needed time off and finish my degree in education. Khann will still be touring this Spring with a fill-in and eventual replacement of myself, so please keep a look out for them. Thanks again to everyone who's helped shape each of these projects I've been involved with and sorry for the long-winded news read."

Bodies In The Gears Of The Apparatus Break Up
Florida's Bodies In The Gears Of The Apparatus have reportedly called it quits. Formed in 2002, the band has released material with The Spew Records in addition to a split with Despised Icon through Relapse Records. Vocalist Josh Vitale commented on the split:
"We're all very upset to see this band go, but for now, this is the best decision we could decide on. We will all be in other bands, most likely not with each other. We had a lot of critics both positive and negative - both of which made us stronger people and we'd like to send out our thanks to those many who angered and inspired us enough to work harder, moreover, we want to thank everyone who supported this musical project for the past three years. Finally, thank you so much for making this a wonderful and unforgettable experience."

In December of last year, Bodies In The Gears Of The Apparatus was rejoined by former drummer Dom Lizzio, who left the band in October.

BITGOTA Drummer Rejoins The Band
Bodies in the Gears of the Apparatus drummer Dom Lizzio, who left the band in October, has rejoined the group. Here's a statement from the band:
"We're a fucking family. We've had a tight lineup with no problems for a good while now, and Dom loves this music as much as we do, so fuck it. We're going to be releasing our first long awaited full-length in April, followed by a US tour. We want to thank evereyone who's helped support and push us. We're going to stay busy, stay angry, and make sure to piss off you fat, shit talking, 'I use big words and try to act witty as fuck to write shitty reviews' message board pricks even more. We can't wait. See you on tour."
BITGOTA Look To Replace Drummer
Bodies in the Gears of the Apparatus have parted ways with drummer Dom Lizio. According to the band, "Dom wishes to seek other non-musical pursuits. We wish him the best in all of his endeavors. We're going to need a new drummer who can hold a blastbeat and thrash a bit, but not be a standard death metal drummer. BITGOTA seeks a new drummer who will either relocate to Florida or lives in Florida, moreover, the band will provide temporary housing if necessary. The group released previous material with Relapse Records and the Spew Records and asks potential drummers to learn all of the Relapse material off of their myspace account and either submit them playing the material on video or come to Florida for auditions. Email bitgotabooking@aol.com or go to myspace.com/bitgota for more details."
