Evanescence's Amy Lee Was Completely Shocked By Grammy Win

Us Weekly caught up with Evanescence singer Amy Lee and asked her how it felt to win her first Grammy. "It was a complete shock," Lee admitted. "I was content to just sit there like, 'Cool'. I've already done the carpet, the work is over, I'm taking my shoes off... When we won, I was racking my brain, thinking, 'What am I going to say'?" Lee also reavealed she designed the gown who wore to the Grammys herself. "It's kind of my black and pink ballerina thing," she explained.

In other news, Evanescence performed live in Chicago at Congress Theatre on Wednesday (February 25). Check out pictures from MediumPhoto.

Amy Lee and Ben Moody started writting music together when they were 14 and 15. They were called evanescence. Then they got a record contract. the decided to hire other people to play on there album. the did. then they got famous. famous bands need to tour. to tour you need instruments, eg. amy sings and plays piano, and ben moody playED guitar, but what about bass and drums?? so they got the people who played on their album to tour with them. they then where known as evanescencce, except the real 'band' was amy and ben. ben then left. a new gutarist came in. as you may figger out, the situation then changed a little. amy is really the only 'original' member left. they are still a band, but she is the major creative influence behind them. that is why she gets alot of publicity. in fact, and you may realise, it is not unusual for the 'frontman' of a band to get the most attention. open your eyes, d***head, it is the wy the music industry works....... now at least i know that you have a little bit of knowledge of the subject you are so passionatly dedicated to commenting on. from know on, it proves that you comments are just stupid, not stupid and uninformed.
