I kinda wish the vocals weren't so over done. Randy has a very strong throat, and doesn't need so much studio effects, IMO.
That one minor quibble aside, the song is great. Got some fast sections and stellar musicianship.
Looking forward to this release. Three weeks and counting down.

Meh, I really like the album. But I am already kind of sick of it. Maybe I just listened to it to death already? Vocals are great through and through. Chris has some pretty great fills etc. but the real boner killer is Mark Mortons Lead playing. Ghost Walking has a nice solo even though its completely pieced together, but the rest of the album has him wanky is trill like vibrato left and right. Kind of annoying.
A lot of the other songs seem like fillers as well except for a few songs.
I've always appreciated when bands build there albums like some authors write books. Where each song flowing seemlessly into the next. Unfortunately, whoever did the mixing, album layout didn't like that idea.
All in all pretty good album, but I don't think it will linger as long as 'Wrath' did on the Billboard charts. I don't know how long it will linger in our hearts either </3

This band's acronym has always been perfectly fitting: LOG...fairly predectable solid material over and over again, good stuff you could build a cabin with. Very redundant and a little boring, but hey, no surprises are better than bad surprises when you're working with logs eh! As long as them guys don't start puttin' out LOGs of sh!t, I don't mind 'em too bad.
Blind, I think ol Maynard's studio approach is designed for dramatic effect (no pun intended), where as this here just sounds like an attempt at hiding a weakening of Randy's haggard cackler...
I generally fvcking hate over-processed vocals...figure if ya can't do it with your voice than ya might as well just leave it alone.
But these dudes' show must go on I guess

Well I hate to warn you guys, but they have a song with gay Chimaira clean sounding vocals.
It isn't pretty, but luckily Randy is still growling and doing the ol'"I have a a low southern style voice and I am talking quietly over this track" thing LOG occasionally does.

This band never disappoints. Brutal metal the way it was meant to be.
