I like the riff but there's a definite "popy" vibe goin on there that I detest. Might have to skip this and put LC to bed. Goodnight Chritina...

Great, tight song. "Poppy" relative to what, BG? This is Lacuna Coil doing what they do - better than most in their style, as always. Their sound is more polished now, but I hardly see that as something to detest.

Ever since Coma Lies I have been waiting for them to return to the heavier edge of LC (i.e. Swamped). The riff (as I stated) is doable but that chorus could easily be found on the latest Gaga album and yes... I detest it and what LC have become.

The first thing you see is "Hot Topic Premiere" and your questioning the poppy sound of it?

Song is ok, and the video is cool. I'll take that over the standard edition of Shallow Life any day. (Still Oblivion rulez :P)

#4: If I let the presence (or absence) of Hot Topic's name or logo affect my opinion of a band's sound, I'd be a pretty shallow critic.

And not to fight with you, BG, but stylistically, I don't really hear THAT much of a difference between this chorus and that of Swamped.

Hot Topic before and after the song. You might as well put Abercrombie in place of that. But yea the song wasn't band. I don't know if I'm feeling Lacuna Coil anymore though. I highly enjoyed Karmacode but I think my mind is dating this band. Oh well. I'll listen to some more songs and fully judge at a later time.

Can't remember if it was "Comalies" or "Karmacode," but I went to buy my wife a Lacuna Coil album a few years back and the lady at the checkout stand actually tried to talk me out of buying it before she'd ring me up :)

Karmacode. I'd bet top dollar on that one. It's like Korn with Christina on vox.

I drummed for them one time when Zerk had the flue, what they didnt know he had turned into a polar bear and had torn apart all the doctors...he was never cured.

They had to put him down, not knowing it was Zerk...the once proud beaver man.
