Hatebreed, DamagePlan, Lamb of God, Devildriver, in flames, and Slipknot Go to ozzfest 04 this year will be the best ozzfest yet..i'm also interested in seeing the new Drowning Pool and if KillSwitch Engage come back on the tour i think Jesse should be on the tour i mean Howard is ok but Jesse made KillSwitch Engage to what they are today! well here are some bands i think they should add to the tour..Freya, downthesun, 40BelowSummer, Static-x, Murderdolls, ill nino, Dry Kill Logic, Korn, Adema, Orgy, Level, Pinata, Mudvayne, Otep, Kittie, My Ruin, FiveFootThick, Mnemic, Soulfly, Spineshank, Skrape, Throwdown, Eighteen visions, dope, Machine Head, Godsmack, Superjoint Ritual, No One, Powerman5000, Life of Agony, Arch Emeny, Soil-work, Soil, Mastodon, and more!

hey GothChild, sorry to burst your bubble, but some of the bands you'd like to see on ozzfest this year will never happen. not to be a d***, but for one, Slipknot will be playing, so therefore no murderdolls, and as for spineshank, im sorry to say but they broke up, its a ashame they are still trying to continue under the name with out Jon Santos...good luck! he made them what they are...downthesun probably won't either seeing as they keep losing and gaining, and losing members of the band. and if im not mistaken i think dry kill logic may have broken up, don't take my word for it though im no one special i've just heard a lot of rumors about them breaking up as well..i do kind of agree with the killswitch statement though, howard is good and all, but jesse is amazing, he's what inspired me to become a singer..so yea.. well i wasn't trying to be a d*** or make you feel dumb or anything i just always have something to say about it...oh well...if you want to yell at me or something my email address is above

well last years Ozzfest was good because Marilyn Mansin was there, but if Slipknot goes this year damm that would be hella cool can't wait to go and see all the other bands too. Hope that this years fest is better than last years as i can see i think it would.

19. writes:
i went to the past three ozzfests and i have to say last year's was the worst. not that it was bad or anything like that cause hell korn, manson, and disturbed were awesome. but the second stage needs to be worked on. ozzfest 200 had the best second stage i've seen mudvayne, union underground, godhead, spineshank, drowning pool, taproot, etc. that's what we need, not like last year's with bands like cradle of filth and sh** black metal isn't quite ozzfest style

21. writes:
I saw Hank Williams III and Assjack last night, and Hank said that it isn't official yet, but Assjack will most likely be playing Ozzfest. For those unfamaliar, Assjack has undergone many personel changes, as well as a progression in musical style, more and more toward death metal. Currently, they are about as hardcore as it gets.

22. writes:
Slipknot is about the biggest rumor going around now it is looking better and better because they are back in the studio trying to put together an album for summer. I doubt that they will be put on second stage though because of the amout of people they draw(i.e. Disturbed a few years ago being bumped up to main stage because of the crowd) But no matter what if they are on the tour it will be over the top, especially if you throw Pantera, I mean DamgePlan, into the mix. The concert is shaping up to be the heavy a$$ power house that it should be. Get rid of the past years of Linkin Park, POD, and that bubblegum rock sh*t we want more crazy moshing sh*t that will either send everyone that attends home in a body bag or an ambulance. I also doubt that Ozzy will be there just because of the accident and all, if he is it would most likely be a duet with another band, say he comes on stage once a night to sing for Zach Wylde, that would be all that I would expect him to do, if that. He is the Prince of Darkness, but who knows if he stays off this year when he comes back 2005 he might be the KING. Monkeynut Rules!

25. writes:
LOL. I remember downloading some mp3s by some band named Monkeynut like 8 years ago off mp3.com...
I generally like the mix of bands at Ozzfest - a lot of the nu-metal bands put on good shows and I've enjoyed seeing Korn,SOAD, Disturbed, Manson and many others. But I definitely have to agree with maniacaljoker that last years was the dullest. I enjoyed some of the bands, but the main stage was way too weak and there were no old-school or really heavy headlining bands. All of the good bands on the second stage had way too short of sets (but some of the crappy ones felt too long). And the setup for the 2nd stage in Bristow, VA plain sucked anyway - out in the middle of the scorching, dusty gravel parking lot with no shade or place to chill in sight of the stage.

32. writes:
Pantera will not be there. They broke up. They might return in the forms of either Superjoint Ritual or Damage Plan, but not together. Slipknot became a f***ing joke, I do not think they should play. I am all for the Murderdolls, and I would like to see Slayer play, if that is at all possible. There's also this other band, 'the Darkness'. They're a little different than the usual Ozzfest crowd, but I think they can rock. They're bringing sex back into metal: where it's always belonged.

33. writes:
Ozzfest has a pretty good lineup this year. I am a little disappointed to see that Manson isn't performing, but, that's how it is. Slipknot will be good this year... I want to see more of the Murderdolls. Although Motograter performed last year, it would be cool to see them again: they really put on a good show!!!!

36. writes:
I think slipknot should go 2nd stage this year definitely that would kick so much a$$ that pit would be crazy and awesome. The line up this year is the best but i think a little Mudvayne, motograter, DROWNING POOL, and chimiaira would make it the best line up in the hisrory of ANY concert

42. writes:
Stage 1 (imo of what I would want):
1. Slipknot
2. Mudvayne
3. System of a Down
5. Ozzy (if he's okay. didn't show last year which sucked)
(I'd also like to see the Deftones or Finger Eleven but they really don't fit)
Some 2nd Stage bands I would like to see:
1 Motograter (holy sh** you gotta check these guys out)
2. Killswitch Engage
3. Cold
4. The Darkness (the may be pansies but dammit i like them)
5. A Perfect Circle
6. Kittie
7. Drowning Pool
8. Godsmack
9. Static-X
10. Nothing Face (i liked em)

44. writes:
Manson should come back he was the best band there besides ozzy. I also would love to see Nine Inch Nails there along with Manson. Trent Reznor's new cd BleedThrough is set to come out in early spring. Imagine it Manson and Trent playing kick a$$ music, forgit slipknot and nu'metal bands there horrible. Without Manson ozzfest will suck a$$ and I will not go instead i will save my money tell Nin and Manson come to town.

Jesse ex-KillSwitch Engage! vocalist left the band due to voice problems..when he found out he had something wrong with his voice the Doctors said to take time off to heal his voice so he did But he did tell RoadrunnerMusic.com he had to leave the band to heal from voice problems but he also said he would Return to KillSwitch Engage to kick more a$$...But i guess the Band couldn't wait for him so they kicked him out of the band then KillSwitch went home and tryed out vocalist and as you can see Howard was the best i'm not saying Howard is bad or anything he is a good singer and a awesome guy to kick it with..but i just wanna let all you people know that Jesse has a new Band lined up not to sure on the Band name also there getting ready to Record an Album but they are way better then KillSwitch Engage.

49. writes:
As I Lay Dying, Hatebreed Slipknot DevilDriver KsE & Lamb of God damn! sounds awesome so far....it'd be nice to se Nonpoint, Cradle Of Filth, Lacuna Coil, Moonspell, Pitchshifter, Apartment 26, Arch Enemy and 36 Crazyfists (just to name a few) added to the tour, of course that is like 8 bands too many to ask for, but hey who knows I mean a boy can dream, either way Every Ozzfest line up kicks f***ing a$$ they always manage to not dissapoint and come up with an incredible line up....

50. writes:
they need to have a harder mix of music this year, it would be sweet of they had: Superjoint Ritual, Damagae Plan, Mushroomhead, In flames, Killswitch Engage, Soil, As I lay Dying, Slip Knot, Chimaira, Meshuggah- That would be a sweet second stage.. Main is hard to say who would make it because not to many bigger bands came out with new sh** but this would be sweet; Ozzy, Static X, Rob Zombie, Black Label Society, and Mudvayne

55. writes:
The best ozzfest, in my eyes, would consist of Lamb of God, Superjoint Ritual, DamaePlan (even thought the new album isint good and you will never see Phil and those people as close as a 3 mile radius), Haetbreed, Black Sabbath (saw 'em 2001 was blown away), Chimaira, Killswitch Engage, and Danzig

56. writes:
as i lay dying, unearth, lamb of god, slipknot, killswitch, amen, and in flames are all f***ing sweeeet bands....i think it would be tight if chimaira, 36 crazy fists, atreyu, eighteen visions, hopesfall, mudvayne, soul embraced, poison the well, zao ...and oh YEA..........NORMA JEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!........ were there too. but, reguardless of the whole lineup...the bands RuMoReD to be playin so far is enough for me to go!!

58. writes:
What the f***? No one has said a damn word about Priest. Priest will rule Ozzfest. Who the f*** wants too see sh**know, and all these new talentless egotrip bands. Slayer and Priest would be nice at Ozzfest, but even if it does happen, I wont go, the atmosphere sucks, 80 percent of the bands suck, and its just f***ing awful. But I know Priest wont go as far as to play Ozzfest.

62. writes:
Judas priest, Slayer and ozzy sound so far like a great lineup. Slipknot gets thumbs down by me for being generic nu metal garbage.. Blind guardian and dark tranquility will never ever happen sorry jeremy but that would be amazing. Dimmu Borgir is a band I am qute excited to see as I was heavily disapointed by cradle's set last year. Having seen Gwar live their effects props and gimmicks were unimpresive and there choice of songs was disapointing. Lamb of god would be pretty sweet and is actually likely to happen. most of the bands I truly care for are unlikely to be on a major tour like this but so far the lineup that is shaping sounds better then any ozzfest to date...

63. writes:
i wanna see slipknot before they break up, but just cuz there insane and would probly put on an awesome show. i also hope MUSHROOMHEAD comes this year, cuz they are f*ckin awesome. I think if mushroomhead, slayer, devildriver, damage plan, judas preist and ozzy come, it will be amazing

65. writes:
F*CKING SLAYER and HATEBREED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lamb of God will kick a$$ too! I loved Cradle of Filth last year(one of my favorite bands) but it will be unlikely that we will see them again. The Darkness can suck my d*ck for all I care. Those guys mean well, but their music sucks @ss. Oh yeah, it would kick so much @ss if SLAYER was there.....my favorite F*ckin' band of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

67. writes:
I'd like to see dry kill. Ill nino is just awesome. NIN would be heavenly. Hatebreed and Cradle have always played an awesome set on 2nd stage, they get the crowds involved most. Unloco was great. I absolutely love Maynard, but come on, Ozzfest is supposed to be hardcore metal and whatnot. Tool would be nice, but sadly apc just doesn't fit. Some of the 'softer' bands that have tagged along on these tours may be awesome on their own, but they just don't cut it at Ozzfest. It ruins the quality of their personal performances, because they just don't measure up to the expectations of this fest. (Bands like Linkin Park, Incubus, P.O.D., Limp Bizkit, Crazy Town...C'mon now..).
Manson always puts on a good show. Last year Ozzy got sick the day before he played in Marysville (Where I attended) and Korn was the last performance of the night. Good.. up until the ending where they simply just walked off stage and that was it. However, they are good live. But their new music sucks. Sorry to all of you 'hardcore fans', but they've certainly gone down-hill.
Too bad Dave Williams couldn't continue with us, he was such an awesome guy. Real friendly, great energy and attitude. He just seemed so happy to be there. Fear Factory would definitely highlight this lineup. I'm pleased that this current one is already better than a lot of what we've seen these past few years. Though I know that no matter what Ozzfest will be great; through all of the bad performances (at least one each year), any true fan of this fest finds a way to have an awesome and memorable time.

68. writes:
yeah last year was my first ozzfest. rad show. was disappointed with chevelle tho which sux.. but manson and korn were awesome id love to see them again. id totally kill to see soad tho. and any heavy girl bands. i adore otep and arch enemy. so far what ive seen of this years rumored lineup, nothing really interests me cept maybe the priest. THAT would be worth going. also, i heard rumors of lacuna coil, dont really think it would fit in but it would make the show a whole lot better. and a buncha people mentioned murderdolls..yes that would be rad. but didnt tripp leave the band??? i mean i dunno, but i think thats kinda stupid cuz personally, i think staticx has gone downhill since wisconsin death trip, so youd think tripp would stay with the better band, murderdolls. but whatever. his call. but yeah basically soad and otep are what im REALLY hoping for. and its just too bad that warped tour already snagged atreyu. ATREYU KICKS ASS!

i made an earlier comment but i forgot a few kick a$$ bands that definitely need to go to ozzfest and those bands would be STATIC-X for sure, godsmack, and System of a Down and onew last comment about slipknot on 2nd stage, it would suck for them to be on main stage cause the tickets are too much to get down there and the pits suck ass! Slipknot needs to be on 2nd stage where they can see some real action!

74. writes:
i think that SOAD needs to be there again cuz they put on amazing shows, along with manson and disturbed slipknot on 2nd stage is awesome because they will turn that pit upside down. i think twisted method should be back on the second stage again because they were amazing last year...i'll be sure to have a ticket for this year

75. writes:
So far, it got to be one of the better Ozzfest lineups I've seen. Hopefully it will stick through with bands like Slayer and Judas Priest so they'll be confirmed.
Head over to my site, http://ozzfest.qrow.com, for just about everything Ozzfest. (yeah, I don't want this to seem like spam, but you gotta sell yourself, ya know?)

I would really like to see motograter at ozzfest this year. last year at st. louis everyone was ripped off. Motograter only played on song and they f***ing ruled. This years lineup f***in sucks. chances are that ozzy won't be able to sing and the only thing they really have going for them is slipknot.

82. writes:
btw, slipknot suck, system of a down suck, f*** those nu metal bands. grow up and get into real metal. Listen 2 some guns n roses, some iron maiden, some megadeth, the good sh**. Almost nothing 90's is any good. Ozzfest needs slayer and judas priest.....thats what it needs

83. writes:
first of all, all you kids out there that act like you now your sh** about metal need to get one thing straight...pantera is dead and damage plan is here to kick ass...but im not smashing pantera there one of the best bands in the world but there gone so get over it....slayer, slipknot, hatebreed, damage plan, drowning pool, and ozzy is all i need, its gunna kick so much f***ing a$$ this year and second stage would be awsome with devildriver and chimira but i kinda want to see demon hunter on there but lets get realistic there wont be f***ing pantera or korn or manson or disturbed those guys played last year so it wont happen and f***ing metalicca are gone and wont be there ever there not metal anymore, so i will definetly be there for slayer and slipknot and if nothing else ozzy cuz hes the f***ing king....so ya f*** punk and long live f***ing metal

I think it would be nice to see a few more black / extreme / death metal bands on the bill. Surely im not the only one who is getting p**sed of with all this MTV friendly nu - metal. I have seen Slipknot live and they are nothing special - 9 guys and they still sound like s**t. As for Damageplan i would love to see them as they are amazing. Shame that it can't be said about Superjoint Ritual. And bring back Cradle Of Filth - they may be going downhill slightly on thier records but they are still excellent live.

I'm shocked that the line-up looks as good as it does, but I can think of a couple of bands that would work good along side some of the rumoured bands:
God Forbid, Chimaira, The Agony Scene, Slayer, Dimmu Borgir, Norma Jean, Haste, Soulfly, Burnt By The Sun, and Soilwork. Those bands along with Lamb of God, In Flames, Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Damage Plan, DevilDriver, Hatebreed, Slipknot, Unearth, and Judas Priest would be worth 50 bucks. Only band I hope doesnt play is Velvet Revolver, this band just would kill the GNR legacy. And Disturbed and those other bands just wouldn't compare to bands like Unearth, Killswitch Engage and Slayer when it comes to a live setting, so give it up.
