Damageplan are set to "Breathe New Life" into Headbangers Ball by premiering their video for their 1st single 'Breathing New Life' on the show on January 3rd of next year. Damageplan are set to release 'New Found Power' through Elektra on February 10th, 2004.

DP is cool, but it just sounds like Pantera doing BLS with a guy trying to sing like Philip sometimes...I'll definitely go check them out if they come near here but I sure as hell aren't going out of the way for it. As for those of you who have stayed lost in your little world of make believe that everything sucks if it's not so in so, well your ,missing out on a lot of musical wisedom. And to all you numbskulls who keep comparing Pantera to Superjoint Ritual, they are 2 totally different styles of music, so stop floggin a dead horse... You should both be glad that neither one of their bands sucks and they are both trying to stay true and play some heavy sh**. Walk a mile in their shoes before you start talkin sh** about either of them.

Who cares if they sound like this band or that band at least they aren't just going to wither up and die like so many before them or total change there style to conform to a standard that will never compare to Pantera, they are doing what they love and playing some cool metal. THat is what a musician does , plays what he creates and if it's not as cool as pantera or better than SJR then who gives a f***. If I want to hear phil, I will listen to SJR and if I want pantera then i've got the whole damn collection and if I want to hear the best f***ing guitarist and drummer on the planet (in my opinion, f*** lars ulrich and that damn metallica b****es) then I will listen to damageplan as loud as and setting as close to the damn speakers as i can. I love phil and SJR and I'm going to love damageplan regardless of who they are trying not to be. They are going to succeed without him as well as they did with him. There is no i in team and no phil in pantera. He was a fourth of the music that will forever charge me up. JUst like SJR and just like damageplan. And just to piss off Phil<;he needs to lose the James Hatfield attitude.

i think you all need to shut hte f*** up and stop whinning. Damageplan is damageplan. It isn't Pantera. SJR is SJR. It isn't Pantera. You obviously have nothing better to do then to bash people who are doing very well in an area you obviously suck at. If that wasn't the case you wouldn't be 'what they suck bring back pantera wah' you're a f***ing douce bag if you want to sh** on vinnie, dime, rex, or phil. Granted it was kind of f***ed how pantera was left off, but it's not a big deal. Common Sense makes it obvious that Pantera will be back.

All I can say is Damageplan sounds pretty decent to me, and I look forward to hearing the end product. It sounds a lot more promising than [new] Sepultura and countless other bands that have gone on to make music without their trademark sound in the vocal department. If the music sounds like Pantera, well what do you expect? They are the musicians behind Pantera. Some will be p***ed that it'll never live up to Pantera and others will be glad that the band(style) is dead only in name. Those open minded enough to listen to Damageplan for what they are may enjoy that the musicians' trademark sounds live on despite the difference from Pantera overall.

i totally agree with brandedcfh420, even if you dont like wat there doing now, dont go saying sh** about 'em! An respect each others taste in music, not everyone likes the same things! i like all three bands anyways i think they kick a$$ but i dont think they'll ever come close to what pantera brought us!

I'm a big Pantera fan, and no, I'm not one of the ones who tries to like it to be "cool, I actually like the music.
And this, damageplan, is sh**..
